You are never able to articulate a coherent argument. All you do is scream out insults. I’m pretty sure you’re the one who needs help lol.
That senate republicans found them deficient to the point that their nominations were withdrawn. Therefore…Senate republicans were fine with the Hegseth nomination. I thought that was obvious when I responded directly to the question “do you think republicans really wanted Hegseth as SecDef?” I didn’t think I needed to explicitly point out their agency.
I think this is clearly demonstrated by how wild the swings are in polls asking if Republican voters support Ukraine depending on what Trump is doing at the moment.
Do these little boats smuggle drugs all the way to Africa & Europe? Seems like quite a trip to pack supplies for Even so, Bradley acknowledged to lawmakers that U.S. intelligence did not conclude the drugs were heading to the U.S. Rather it showed that the boat was traveling south toward another country in South America, Suriname, which was first reported by CNN. Bradley told the lawmakers the boat was eventually to Europe or Africa. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/na...ged-drug-boat-was-list-military-ta-rcna247767
“Becoming a U.S. citizen takes years and involves immigrants acquiring a green card, extensive interviews, background checks, classes and a citizenship test. The naturalization ceremony is the final step to the process, where the oath of allegiance and a citizenship certificate are granted. Immigrants approved to be naturalized went to Faneuil Hall Thursday — known as the country’s cradle of liberty — for that long-awaited moment to pledge allegiance to the United States. But instead, as they lined up, some were told by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officials that they couldn’t proceed due to their countries of origin.” https://www.wgbh.org/news/local/202...zenship-ceremony-as-feds-crackdown-nationwide No ********ing words……
What I remember most about him was how he would become completely unhinged when people challenged him in public about his corruption. I'm sure there is video of it, but I'm too lazy to try and find it.
No -- they move drugs to other hand off points, and the drugs then make their way to west Africa and onward to Europe, usually through Portugal and Spain. This is nothing new. It's been going on for at least the last 15 years. There is nothing about these boats that represents even the most remote threat to the United States. I had a position at one point where I attended meetings of The Interdiciton Committee, which was chaired by the Commandant of the Coast Guard -- I don't even know if it is still a thing under this administration, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see how they are contorting themselves to deal with this.
Yes. Just look at the number of prominent influencers and politicians that were quick to call this a war crime and suggest Hegseth should resign. The way they voiced concern that the evil Hegseth was throwing our proud and patriotic and valiant military, whom we all obviously support and thank God they keep us safe and free and shit…under the bus. I have yet to see single politician call for Bradley’s resignation. I have not seen one tweet that he….and every senior officer involved in that operation….are war criminals. That they should be relieved of command. The public outrage ended the minute it became clear that it was the hero not the drunk that ordered the murder of those two.
Drugs are a clear & present danger to Americans. If that's the case we should be carpetbombing meth labs in Appalachia.
Also, the 'long game' would indicate this has already happened twice so would anyone think it's never going to happen again, possibly with even worse consequences.
The problem with McFaul’s position is a large group of republican politicians could something about it but won’t and an even larger group of Republican voters love them for it. A small group of Germans made the decision to annex Austria. To annex the Sudetenland. To invade Poland.
Mitch should resign, but if he doesn’t want to, what levers do we have to force it? How does one go about a court martial? Is the public involved at all? If that does happen, how likely would Trump just issue a pre-emptory pardon? I think the pause is trying to decide how to effectively push back. The second a dem wins the presidency, the admiral and everyone else involved should see the full force of the law.
True but, nevertheless, would you like to take the risk? I think Europe needs to build up more resilience in out own capabilities. That way, anything the US does is a nice bonus... not an absolute requirement. Funnily enough I caught this on YT the other day, which was interesting...
