I appreciate that. But it is wonderful to see the living hostages returned and the families reunited. I hope we can all be happy/relieved about that for a day.
Caught a minute of Donnie signing the peace agreement in Egypt. As he was signing he said "it took 3,000 years to get to this point"
Can't say entirely, as it is far too nuanced for a high school class. But I'm sure some of it was covered.
That was decent for a 15 minute video, but, as I'm sure you are aware, glosses over some parts (and skips others). For one, it doesn't talk about the tax rate and how higher taxes (used well) help everybody. It also doesn't talk about how we willfully segregate ourselves, economically, which is a hindrance to everybody. It also doesn't talk about how higher interest rates are disincentivizing people to move from their existing homes (either from paid off homes, or from homes with low(er) interest rates.
For those, like me, who didn't know what was this was about. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/pol...n-praised-by-trump-before-israeli-parliament/ President Donald Trump heaped praise and kind words on his friend and campaign megadonor, billionaire Dallas Mavericks majority owner Dr. Miriam Adelson, as she joined him for a speech before the Israeli parliament in her native country on Monday. “She loves this country,” Trump said of the physician and casino owner, who was born in Israel and who, with her late husband, Sheldon, was one of Trump’s top donors during his three presidential campaigns. “I’m going to get her in trouble with this, but I actually asked her once, I said, ‘So Miriam, I know you love Israel. What do you love more? The United States or Israel?’ She refused to answer. That might mean Israel.” The crowd chuckled, but the underlying message was the Adelsons’ yearslong support for and influence on U.S. foreign policy in Israel during Trump’s presidential years — a partnership he said strongly shaped his decisions to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the U.S. embassy, as well as his moves on the Golan Heights.
I'm starting to consider the possibility that the House won't return to regular session and that the shutdown won't end either.
And yet somehow the national debt will remain at $37 trillion and climbing while our credit rating tanks and interest payments soar. Well done MAGA America.
Oh he said way worse! He said she was the most frequent visitor to the white house and had 60bn in the bank "look at her smiling so innocently" - might as well have just said she paid him off lol! And thoughts and prayers to the genocide joe crowd 'Bibi Netanyahu would call me so many times asking for weapons I never even heard of, but we got them here didn’t we? You used them very well.’
I hear you on that, but I doubt things actually can go that far. Besides, that would give a lot of ammunition, so to speak, to the Dems as well as those who oppose Trump, et al. Is there anything in which members of the House can force it to return to session? I did read (wiki) that there are provisions in which either the Senate or the President can force a return, but nothing else.
Waves his hand "we know, we know. You spend your big Jew shekels to influence American Mideast policy. Don't be shy about it. Jews make tons of money. Great with the money. You married quite well too. And know what? I'd hate America under me if I was a furriner"
I had a funny feeling after the Immunity decision that Biden should have gone YOLO because it sure as hell would have been easier to stop these goons with the power of the exec branch than without it. Now we are going to see 'unthinkable' options like disband the Supreme Court or not have Congress (lololol) are fully possible things.
I’m quite torn, because I think if Biden had gone YOLO, we’d see an even worse backlash. Trump et al would have gotten back into power and immediately gone with martial law. However, there’s also the chance that Trump wouldn’t have made it to the next election and the rwnj coalition would have splintered. Not sure though.
