So, if the chinese refuse to send us any stuff, we'll refuse to accept any stuff from them? Not sure if dth has fully grasped the idea of how a 'threat' works.
MAGAs are COVID deniers, but their orange king just got his booster. The same guy who told you COVID was a hoax just got his updated booster. You can’t make this up. I'm glad Donald is still taking Dr. Fauci’s advice. Right, MAGAs? pic.twitter.com/AxzAA8rVUC— Alex Cole (@acnewsitics) October 11, 2025
Under China’s new crackdown, Taiwan-based TSMC cannot sell any semiconductor chips to the US, because those chips have… rare earth minerals from mainland China. From NY Times Also, words is China will dump a significant amount of US treasury next week
No, we'll still accept stuff from them, but it will just cost us a whole lot more. Related, the fedwatch tool has been predicting a second rate cut at the next meeting (Oct 29) based on employment numbers. But there has been talk about inflation being a concern. Will be interesting to see what happens on Monday with the Tool gets updated (right now it is at 98.3% for a 25bp drop). Not true. The part you quoted actually says an "export license" is needed to sell the product(s). And, for those wondering, here is the article. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/09/business/china-rare-earth-exports.html?searchResultPosition=1
“ There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education. America’s children deserve better than this.” https://bsky.app/profile/sarapartridge.bsky.social/post/3m2wnfys7us2f FELPWVFT
As if this wasn't bad enough, India just dumped the US dollar and are now paying the Russians for their oil in Chinese Yuan. Was all the drama really worth it?
This is actually an improvement for Russia, because before they were paid in rupee, which is not a useful currency. India hasn't paid dollars since the invasion of Ukraine took place.
77 million votes. Some of America's children deserve better, but since we don't know which ones' parents voted Harris, they're SOL
Education Dept. wipes out special ed office, union says Are disabled children responsible for their parents' failure to support Harris? All of America's disabled children deserve better. My god these people are cruel and heartless. I hope there's a backlash. Democrats don't buckle, PLEASE.
I have a few friends and former work colleagues with severely disabled children. I don’t think Russ Vought has a clue about the hornet’s nest he’s just kicked over. They will fvcking burn him alive for this — and Schumer et al need to be talking about this every day about cruel and sadistic these people are.
It's consistent with everything else they are doing given Nazis didn't care about disabled people either (well, they did "care" just not in a positive way). Even when they're (probably) not intentionally trying to be like Nazis, they still end up being like Nazis. They just can't help themselves at this point.
I have to admit, there is a certain 'popcorn' element to all this. Only reduced by the fact that everyone else will suffer as well. It must be like how people abroad felt when we voted for brexit although even THAT wasn't as bad as this is getting. On the other hand, the impact will probably affect us for longer.
Mr’s Scouse has been making more signs. Our small town groups will be out, music an’ all. Long range weather?!?! Shows sunny day
