As a member of the Internet generation, I'm a big fan of memes. I was running line on an uneventful game today and these popped into my head: U11 Coach: Sudden Clarity Clarence There's a pretty good chance that I'm the only one here who enjoys this sort of thing and this thread will go nowhere. But if you come up with anything funny, do share.
I bet there is a better picture out there for the first one. I'm picturing a track suit, visor, and clipboard. Beyond that though, I like where this could go
I had a coach appealing for this in a U11 Girls game last week. How do these morons think this is actually a rule still (if it ever was)?
I have reffed leagues where this was codified as a league rule up to U-12. That's how it gets started around here. <sigh> I have it called for in Men's Open. Often.
I have adult players saying it all the time. "He/she can't play it on the ground!!". Sometimes I just feel like calling it and skipping the grief it is so bad. But that would be perpetuating the myth. By the time you get to explain it to the players, they've moved on to something else.
Call me an internet idiot, but how do you get one of those from quickmeme.com to here? I created one but can't figure out how to share it or download it.
Quickmeme won't let you save the image directly so I just take a screenshot and cut it out in MS Paint.
