I applaud all, almost literally the whole stadium, who chanted "Ref you suck" at the game tonight. That was great! And the record for most tax dollars used to protect the officials was broken by tonight's performance. I think I counted eight SJPD, there may have been more. I didn't have a good angle but I don't think they were of any use either. Were the officials totally doused on their way out?
Yes they were officially doused on their way out. Im sick of the people throwing stuff onto the field though. Salazar should never see MLS action again.. With Heron, St. Silva, Itaya, and Stott.
There were eight officers escorting that pile of dog shyte off the field but that just made a bigger target. I hope someone launched some spit in his direction, no wait, that would be a waste of good saliva. What a f***ing joke, just when you think you have seen the worst that MLS has to offer, Heron, St.Silva, Itaya etc,etc,etc.... they manage to pull one more idiot out of their asses and put him on the field.
He was really bad, I agree. Especially when he let the Quake defender grab Martino and stop him from going by him and having a 1 v 1 with the keeper late in the match.
This is soooooooooo true and even more reason to speak up about it PEOPLE!!!! feedback@mlsnet.com tfitz-gerald@mlsnet.com I don't blame Cowlumbus for a thing (congrats on the win), but I am DAMN sick of the referees incompetence!!! For once, I'd like to see the players decide a game. Am I asking too much?
That had to be THE WORST ref I have seen at any of the SJ Earthquakes games. OK. Did he have a yellow jersey on underneath that ref uniform?? Just how much did it cost to pay him off? Even that nincompoop Brian Hall (that explains the lousy reps at the WorldCup) officiating at a game last year was pathetic. But This game tonight was outright disgusting. I have been watching Earthquake games since the 70's. You expect some bad calls made now and then. But this was outright belligerent biased calls made against the Quakes. Who was that bozo? I already called Raj Mathai on Channel 11/3 and gave him my thoughts. He plans to bring up the lousy officiating on the news 2night.
Well, someone certainly tried to hit the refs with some sort of liquid. But unfortunately, it appeared they missed. The cops got most of it, if not all of it. Poor cops!! A coupla guys followed the refs all the way out and around the corner toward their room. They were cussing and throwing things the whole way. The cops had their eyes on them. It really was kinda scary. One of the comments I remember: "You f-in screwed us again ref!"
Oh, and you do all realize that this was the same ref we had in LA. You know, the fishin piece of fish offside 1-0 win by LA. Yeah, he wasn't fishin biased!
Its all about having a big marquee player who puts butts in the seats but performs like crap. Then dives, cries, and threatens the league. I shall now be refered to as "The stork?"
Re: Re: "Ref you suck" and A Waste of Tax Dollars [R] He was actually refering only to Landon. Ariel really isnt too bad. We are so used to watching Landon and his Hollywood acting stunts that we dont even notice Ariel anymore..... And can I just say that as soon as that chant broke put, I was crying from laughign so hard. I looked at Hayley, and then to Shawnna, and cold nto stop laughing. That was probably the single most memorable moment I have EVER had at Spartan, no doubt about it.....
Wake up you thickheaded Midwestern idiot! That's what we're saying. As far as I am concerned, the question of bias is one in which a foul can be deal out one way in one moment and the exact opposite way in the next no matter which team it goes on. That affects all players on the field, not just your own. Comprende?
Re: Re: Re: "Ref you suck" and A Waste of Tax Dollars [R] Seriously, Donovan should quit with the diving and the acting because frankly, he's not all that good at it. While Graziani can execute a dive that you need slow-motion replay to discern, Donovan's dives are glaringly obvious at full-speed. Referees notice that and they're not going to give you any calls. Hell, Graziani never got any calls in Dallas because the refs were always suspicious that he might be taking a dive. And he was actually good at it! How do you think that the refs are going to treat someone whose dives can be spotted a lot more easily?
El Jiffy, This is at least the third post that you have written on this board that says the same damned thing. Stop trolling and come back when you can think of something new to say. Probably about a year from now.
