I can't remember how long we signed with Reebok for last [til '08?]. I'm not the biggest fan of the last few kits we have seen, they've been kind of bland. However the new road ones aren't bad. We are due for new home strips next year right? Any ideas on what you guys may want to see? I'd like to see one that would force me to shell out the $.

Also, any personal favorites of kits gone by? I'm a big fan of the much older ones. Straight red, white liverbird, good stuff.

Are you conflicted?!?! You like the old ones which were simple (or is it bland?), but find the new one's to be bland (or is it simple?).

I really like the current home kit. I think it's the best Reebok has done since outfitting the Reds. And it harks back to the 1960's and 1970's, except for the sponsorship logo (Carlsberg).

Although I would agree that I like the simple white liverbird over the current crest.

As long as they don't go back to really bright yellow, or mustard yellow I'll be content. my wife bought me the 97-98 away kit while we were living over there, and she hates it when I wear it. She thought I'd just "have" it...I have one for everyday of the week though-so I'm always ready:D

I like the simple basic red kit without the collar as well.

Some classic LFC retro shirts at www.toffs.com as well as some decent stuff from the club shop - http://store.liverpoolfc.tv/ynwa/CategoryProductsAction.run (my fave is the 84 Rome replica top).

Ebay.co.uk is always a good bet for rare and 'tester' shirts - Reebok knock up a whole batch of designs and styles to show the club - some end up on ebay... somehow.

Oh dear ... you're not going to like the 2004/05 away shirt then.

I haven't been too thrilled with Reebok's output, though I did like the bright yellow and the white with red stripes from the late 90s.

My favorites have to be the Umbro shirts with yellow pinstripes from the early 80s and the last adidas shirt from circa 1996.

It's time for the new home jerseys to have the crest on the left, rather than the center. It's just not correct.

Making the size of the badge a LOT bigger would be a welcome move - on most of the modern kits it's almost impossible to see the club crest - let alone the Liverbird.

I can't find the pic of the new away kit on onion bag. Anyone have a link, or better yet, a pic?

A sneak peak (like 1/9th of it) was shown in their message boards at Soccer Boards -> Europe -> England and under Important Topics at the top of the list (like a BigSoccer "Sticky") there is the thread "READ THIS, BOSS: EXCLUSIVE - Liverpool Away 04/05 (Pic)"

BUT . . . the picture has since been removed. Maybe Reebok didn't like that there shirt was being revealed ahead of schedule.

    Re: Re: Reebok and Liverpool

What is with the cheesy action shots of the players wearing them? Gerrard looks way too happy, and Owen looks like a lil' girl at a slumber party. XXXL isn't his size.

From David Moores' message in the annual report:

"...Reebok have renewed their sponsorship with the club. The contract will last for six years and could be worth up to GBP 100 million over this period."

  23. Re: Re: Re: Reebok and Liverpool

They're all laughing in those photos because they realize that some people will buy anything . . .
