Did Milan include him on their Champions League roster?
Redondo was not named in the 25 player CL squad by Milan. So he won't be able to play in the next 5 CL matches Milan plays. But he can be added to the squad in February to take Contra's spot. I don't know how he will fit in, but I suspect at first he will only be a bench player and only start in Coppa Italia matches. But it can only be a plus if he is 100% fit for the later CL matches. Is experience can be a benefit to the club.
He was sold to Atletico. Albertini and Jose Mari were loaned but I don't expect them to be back next season.
