The first goal especially, might as well have been out of 2003/04, Beckham to Raul with the one touch finish.

If Trent stays fit, we might be in business this season. He’s the ability to give us the creative balance we lack from our midfield.

Carvajal on the other hand looks like he’s in deep waters unfortunately. Was being outpaced by Albacete players and yesterday we were lucky to not concede from his plays (plural).

He is no Kroos, but I very much see the Beckham resemblance.

 

I have high hopes for TAA. I am not against Beckham. Beckham might be a better crosser than TAA, but his crosses were mainly early cross near the box. This example was actually slightly further back than his usual. He was more effective with target men such as RVN, etc. They headered the ball in. TAA's range in Liverpool could be further back. He would be a better fit with Salah, Mane, etc. I do believe that Mbappe will benefit.

 

He is an assist king but not sure how many he is going to get when we don't play with a CF. I guess on the counter attack he can pin long balls to Mbappe but I don't think we will be seeing these Beckham crosses at all like the other day.

Crazy that our CF doesn't know how to positionally attack the box or head a ball.

 

A lot of his assists came from Salah, Mane scoring and Diaz to a lesser extent. Pool haven't had a prolific ST since Suarez.
