You can Leeds a man to the Aire but you can't make him play... or stay.

He’s turned down chances to potentially transfer to other Champions League clubs in order to fight for his spot at Barca. Cannot see him and his agent agreeing to move to a team that almost got relegated to the English Championship.

I’m sure Dest will consider Leeds after they sign CP10

Any of the top keepers in the US would take the job. Literally no one starts for a better club situation than Leeds offers. That's the easiest piece of this puzzle.

Leeds hooligans have a reputation, and now that they're back in the EPL, no one is safe:

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/news/leeds-news/leeds-united-hooligans-drag-derby-21510920

    https://fanbanter.co.uk/leeds-and-wolves-fans-filmed-clashing-outside-mcdonalds-at-elland-road/

They're just getting started again, and a zebra doesn't change its stripes. Leeds firms were the most savagely racist of all, and they're already starting new incidents this time around. Hopefully their good fans can stop the trend before they start with the Nazi chants again.

Bielsa, with his Peronista background, has always had a weak spot for nationalistic clubs: Lazio, Bilbao (a sort of Spanish Chivas, that only wants Basques), and Leeds are a who-is-who of ethnonationalism.

Personally, I wouldn't be too thrilled to have many of our guys there.

Looks like Barca is set to sell Frankie for around $110 million US to whatever Premier team coughs up the most money. This likely means Dest is back with Barca, as the main reason Barca was looking to sell him was to give them the money to buy other players Xavi wanted. Dest is one of the few Barca players who actually has value in the transfer market which they would consider selling.

Even the Dynamo Kiev fans are fine with their own black players so far they're scoring for them. That means nothing.

I see four exhibition matches on the US tour:

    7/19 Inter Miami (Miami, FL)

7/23 Real Madrid (Las Vegas, NV)

    7/26 Juventus (Dallas, TX)

    7/30 NYRB (Harrison NJ)

It's okay, I think they're planning to install an ice rink under the field to keep the players' feet cool.

I'd definitely check out the Vegas match, but I won't get back into the country until a week later. Damn winter WC keeping me from seeing any of these money grabs this summer.

If Dest even gets to be 90% of the player that Alves was, we should all be thrilled

True...he didn't claw his way off a farm in rural Brazil but I think he's (trying to) develop it. I also don't think he's quite as athletic as Alves was. For me Alves was top 3 fullbacks in the world in his prime and has a very strong case for top 1. If Dest can be top...what?...15 it would be a hell of a career and a coup for the USMNT
