Hoping that Dest will stay and develop at Barcelona. The passing was so much faster in the last game - I think Xavi is really getting the pass & move thing going again, and it seems like Dest could learn from that. Of course, he'll develop at any reasonably solid team/league where he gets playing time. Did you see the rumor about Dest to Ajax (swap for Mazraoui).

Your post screams for Bayern Munich, who wanted Dest before he went to Barcelona.

And BM would be a step up from this Barcelona team...at least for the next couple years.

Why would a club essentially trade one of its most valuable realistically sellable assets for an older player he already beat out who they can sign to a pre-contact in a few days time?

This seems like the kind of deal that only the most horribly run, short-sighted club would even consider.

So Barça circa 2021? The rumor checks out.

Besides PSG and Chelsea I can’t think of a less desirable team for a tank to play for. Bayern is no fun to watch, they dominate the league to the point where the only BL games that are fun to watch are for 2nd and 3rd (relegation too)

With the fall of Leipzig, #2 should be settled too.

Yes, but there are few clubs that offer a 'step up'.

    - Man City
    - Liverpool
    - Chelsea
    - RM
    - BM
    - PSG*

    * if you have problems with BM and dominating league....well......

Man City: What are they when/if Guardiola leaves?
Liverpool: Ditto Klopp + their bench is not the strongest for deep runs and
    can Salah-Firmino-Sane keep this up
RM: Well....yes, they seem to be transitioning well to a younger set. But can you see Barcelona selling to RM? (well I guess they did give away Suarez + Gries to AM haha)

I don't include Man U because they just seem so chaotic still.

Bottom line- not a lot of options for career advancement and most all have risk. I'd take BM in a second due to opportunity to go deep in Champions every year. Tremendous young talent on the team.

But honestly I'd rather see him stay with this current young group at Barcelona....give them a couple years and they will be amazing (although CL always crap shoot to win)

Maybe Dest is a 'more exciting' player on lesser teams...but I'd rather see him on a team that can win CL any year. (save the Barcelona special situation exception for these 2 years)

Per ESPN--The number of Barca players with Covid or current injuries leaves the team with only 9 first team players presently healthy enough to play in the next game. The rules require the game to be played if there are a minimum of 5 first teamers available.

This appears to be an interview with an agent at the firm representing Dest.

    https://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/f...e-spielerberater-transfers-2022-91208704.html

Q: Will the FC Barcelona right-back move to Bayern?

A: He's got a lot of inquiries and had a lot of offers in the summer too. But his coach at the time, Ronald Koeman, really wanted to keep him. We'll see how things continue now. One thing is clear: a player like Sergiño certainly does not lack alternatives.

COVID is going rampant all over Europe. Even here in the states. I have family members in different parts of my state that got it within the past week. All are doing well so far.

Dest should stay. Give these young guys 1 more year together and they are going to be highly competitive again (+ 1-2 correct buys)

I prefer to call them ‘age spots.’

“Age spots are small, flat dark areas on the skin. They vary in size and usually appear on areas exposed to the sun, such as the face, hands, shoulders and arms. Age spots are also called sunspots, liver spots and solar lentigines.

Age spots are very common in adults older than 50, but younger people can get them if they spend time in the sun.”

Alves went the distance in a 1-2 Barcelona victory today over Linares (Lunares would be a lot funnier).

If Xavi does not rate Dest, I would not mind seeing a move to Chelsea or Munich.

Xavi has stated (very clearly) that he rates Dest and he hasn't been playing due to injury.

1-1 draw. Notably, Barcelona fans seem happy with the return of Dani Alves.

I am not sure if the 1st part is true or not... but I have to wonder whether Dest would have just as much trouble starting for either of those clubs too.?.? It doesn't help that he has had a hard time staying healthy.
