Well, two things can be true at the same time.

1) Paraguay has been horrible. This is a team that made a Cope America final 15ish years ago v Uruguay. This team... yikes... they're embarrassing. Pathetic. Their offensive tactic is to pump long balls to a single striker vs 3 CBs. Kinda dumb. Their defending is weird, not deep enough to true be compact and park the bus, but they're not really pressuring either.

2) That being said, the US has been great. Full credit to the players and Poch. Pulisic looks spectacular, McKennie is finally playing in the role he should've been playing all along, and Balogun (who should've been starting the entire time) is showing why he deserves to start.

Also, I never said Poch was a bad coach, I was just incredibly tired and frustrated with his lack of respect for the job and fans (and I still feel that way).

 

It's gotta be up their with the Confederations Cup semifinal final vs Spain.

 

Uh... I'd saying beating a 30 whatever game unbeaten Spain on a neutral site is still better than putting 3-0 vs a pathetic Paraguay at home.

And be sure to let them know that Z was named first team NHL today.

The last time we beat Paraguay 3-0 in a World Cup we went to the semis....
