Markus Schopp is not that expensive. From the figure, it appears we would never have a DP issue or for that matter a cap issue. Is Salzburg paying for him?

Thank you RSL for footing the majority of the bill for a revitalized Clint Mathis.

Jozy is making some pretty sweet green for a 17 year old! Awesome. I hope that his parents aren't in charge of his finances, and if they are I hope they don't go all Gary Coleman on him.

true, but you have to consider that these guys have been in the league for a while. I think wolyneic has been in MLS since 1999 or 2000.

This is what I can't believe:

The first thing that jumps out at me is a waste of about $125,000 on a Wolly-Ham sandwich. How's about we get someone with that money...instead of two rejects.
Or, just get rid of them and for $6.50 get a cheesesteak at Pat's in Philly.

 That's just f'ing unbelievable. How is Graham still on the team. Why does he make more than Parke? There can't be a rational explanation for this.

Well not sure when these contracts were signed, but you have to take into account what was thought of the players at the time. Richards is a rookie this season taken in the second round of the draft. No way could he have signed for much money (though if his good play continues then we'll have to pay him a lot more when the contract is up, and doesn't he become an SI next year, or is that someone else?). Same thing with guys like Stamler and Parke (mister picked 60th in the draft). Graham makes a bit more because he signed his contract as a veteran who was thought to be a leader of the defence of his previous team (even though it's in a lower league, it still gave him more to bargain with when he negotiated), though even then it's not like he's being paid that much more.

Magee I think gets a bad rap. He's been injured a lot lately and so its been a while since he's been able to provide much for the team, but when he's played at forward he's done well (though he's been put in midfield more often, though I think that's more due to the team trying to fill holes with his versitility than because that's where he's best).

I don't think there're too many players that are overpaid, but there are a few who, due to where we got them and such, we're paying pretty cheep for (less than what they have since shown their worth is). It's not like we have a Balboa on the team making the league max and doing jack.

Actually, there are 2 on the list that surprise me. Dema making 180,000 and Ronald making 200,000. I knew Dema was getting paid well, but didn't realize that it was that well. Ronald I just thought I read was cheaper than that.

And Jose in the end may be making more than anyone on the team with that Adidas advert.

Looks to me like Graham, Magee and Woly will be gone soon as they do not earn their keep vs others on this list.

HEY YOU GUYS, HEY YOU GUYS!
    GUESS WHAT!

I know about a robbery that went down in East Rutherford!

This guy named Taylor Graham has absolutely robbed and I mean stolen out from underneath 'em, from the Red Bulls soccer team!

Please be on the lookout for this guy - he is known to be impersonating a professional soccer player.

Contact the authorities! The guy is robbing us blind! Can he be made to pay back that money?

Although I must say it is extremely unsporting to score twice against the hand that feeds you.
