Only positives for the first post.

Great to have the supporters groups march over together.

Security at my gate was fantastic. Which carried throughout.

The screens are high enough up that you aren't that tempted to look at them instead of the field.

The pitch was good and it was nice to see a pass not skip and run off.

Great effort be the team, even if they were facing a B side. They passed the ball with purpose and created many opportunities.

Not relevant to everyone I guess but the corner pub was pretty cool - it felt a little like my own private bar - before and after the game - maybe it was a little more full 2 hours earlier when it opened but judging by number of people who signed in maybe not. Most people were probably enjoying the day and checking out the stadium although if it keeps up like this they'll probably sell more spots - they should let members bring in a guest or two.

The bar was pretty good though - the food was decent and you can buy beer and they'll put it in a plastic cup for you to take out. Not much on tap but a decent selection - most expensive being Guiness in

Not sure where to put this but think this section might work. Got some Eurosnob friends of mind to give RBA a shot and go to game with me next week, hopefully I can convert them to RBNY fans as well. Anyway we are using mass transit but will come off Newark Broad Street station, I heard traffic from trolley was bad but most complaining came from Penn, anyone have problems or experience in general with Newark Trolley from Broad Street Station? Thanks

Hey Red Bull fans - just want to say congrats on the long, long overdue stadium. Looks awesome and I hope this begins a new era for the club.

Well deserved and in the end, well worth the wait.

Thanks. Sounds like the Quakes are moving closer to a new place. Hope to eventually make it out there when it opens.

I agree. I'd kill to have a soccer stadium half that nice in South Florida. Damn it's a sexy building!

I hope all the clowns from NYC who refuse to support RBNY pull their heads out of your know where and head out to the new stadium. You now have the best SSS in the country and a MLS team. Some of us are not so lucky :(

    Congrats RB fans!

Did anyone see the corners in the upper deck that were completely empty? I heard that they still hadn't installed seats up there. ;)

Just want to second this. I'd die for 1/2 as good a stadium in 'Diego. O well.

Congrats Red Bulls fans. Enjoy every second of your new stadium. And good luck in '10.

That was addressed in an interview. They are obstructed view seats currently and are not for sale for soccer. If the stadium seating is expanded in the future, the obstruction will go away and the seats will have full view.

    Any Obstructed Views?

After the debacle with the ballpark in Queens, I'm very sensitive to stadiums built by idiots without considering the actual view from the seats.

Are there any seats to avoid? How are the first rows of the upper deck? Are the railings low or do you have to look through them (Mrs Fud and I are pretty short)

Can you see the near goal from the end zone seats?

    Are there portals to avoid?

    Thanks in advance ...

PS: This place looks amazing. I can't wait to visit. For those of you who went to the World Cup in '94, can you imagine the Italy-Ireland match in this stadium? I hope that there are more Int'l matches in the future (Turkey-Czech doesn't quite get my heart thumping)

PS II: Great forum here. A lot of activity and expertise.

Love hearing that on two counts. First, respect for the current ticket holders by not squeezing out a few extra bucks. Second, love the planning aspect of it and look forward to the 40K plus seater in about ten years!
