I'm afraid Pachuca will be flat here. All teams need to come down from their focus at some point, and Pachuca's focus has been intense of late, and for quite a long while, with CCC and La Liguilla coming back to back. I'm not sure they'll be able to stay on top of their game here.

And, what are they playing for, exactly? Pachuca already goes to the world club tourney, right? So what is this for?

To be "crowned" king of South America, so to speak.

Yet Pachuca isn't a South American team.

Change the name, stupid conmebol! Name it Recopa Conmebol or something.

wouldn't the effect be the whole opposite of what you're saying?

They're continuously playing and that means they're active. "Estan en racha"

To earn Conmebol and the teams a few extra bucks in TV Rights from a game nobody will remember two months from today...

Remember Leoz will sell his mom bones for the right price.

Actually something odd happened on the road to RECOPA...Inter had to let VARGAS a Colombian go meet the Colombian National team...while I hear that PACHUCA got 3 National Teamers from Colombia freed for the game...is this true..does Pachuca have 3 NT Colombians that were released to play this game. Inter didnt have such luck with its 1 colombian.

    2 -1 Pachuca

    Chato Gimenez at 80min

I don't know that I've ever seen a team go on a roll like what Pachuca has (outside of Franco's Spain!).

They've won back-to-back in Mexico, the Suramericana and the Concacaf. If they pull this off, it'd be five major trophies in 12 months.

It's truly admirable... they're definitely a quality side. They've shown better futbol than Internacional throughout this game as well.

And Meza is resting Chitiva too. Mosquera is absolutely brilliant in the Pachuca kit - its almost like he put it on one day and became another player.

That's funny. I don't want Mosquera to go anywhere, his style just fits remarkably well in Pachuca.

Meza is not "resting" Chitiva. He was suspended for this game. But it comes out to be the same thing; he'll be rested for the next game.

they didn't win back to back, but they've won two out of three. pachuca, then chivas, then pachuca again. during the season that they didn't win the title in mexico, they won the sudamericana and reached the semi-finals of the mexican tournement.

Mosquera might go to Feyenoord, he is scouted by a former big soccer user
