I reckon Joyce meant Pool won't make a desperate renewel offer. 'Beg' term odd in this context and could be from Xtra.

Ibrahima Konaté’s future is still uncertain.

Renewal talks with Liverpool remain at a standstill, with Real Madrid identified as potential suitors next summer.

Liverpool want to keep him, but they’ll not ‘beg’ him to stay. @_pauljoyce

Ibrahima Konate is FOR SURE on Real Madrid’s radar and a player they’d like to sign in 2026. @FabrizioRomano

Real Madrid were willing to sign Ibrahima Konate THIS SUMMER, but Liverpool never opened the door for an exit. @FabrizioRomano

Really wish Liverpool would offer him an unbeatable contract so we don't make this mistake

Jesús Fortea was ONE STEP AWAY from joining AC Milan in May.

The transfer collapsed after Xabi Alonso arrived and STOPPED everything.

Fortea then renewed with Real Madrid after Xabi insisted on it. @MatteMoretto

I don't get the teakeaway here, Xabi just sabotage a good deal and cost the club money.

Currently there's an excess of LB"s with Mendy, Alaba and Fran all returning and front office just spent 50ME to buyback a former academy player who is expected to be the starter.

Why in the world did the club or Xabi think they needed to keep a 5th LB who only has 5 youth team appearances in his career.

Unlike you, Xabi knows basic stuff like Fortea is an RB.

I'm crying. The troll tried to mock you but ended up humiliating himself.
It’s almost as embarrassing as that guy who claimed Estêvão played for Chelsea in the Club World Cup.

    Liverpool are smarter than that.

IMO they'll monitor his performance this season before offering him what he wants.

Liverpool did well to get rid of their unwanted personnel in the summer, if he's as unreliable as he was vs Newcastle and Bournemouth (Arsenal were too scared to attack), he's out the door with Guehi or Leoni taking his place next season.

Of course, we might be there to pick up the "free" trash. But I'm hopeful this won't be the case.

I'd rather we go after Jacquet or give Joan Martinez a try. I also don't want to see Rudiger renewed. We'll need 2 CBs (possibly 3 depending on what happens with Asencio's case).

Upamecano's contract is also expiring in 2026. I wonder if he can be an alternative candidate,

I don't want to be one of those people who are ultra sensitive about race, but I always find it interesting that you can't just be a black person and nothing more. Someone always notices.

I remember being at work and one group of Indian guys always hung out together with one other black person. One day, that black person had lunch with two other black guys. Indians went on to joke about how he was having lunch with the "brothers" etc.

When I pointed out it's no different from when they go to lunch together, it was like a penny dropped. They genuinely couldn't realise they are in the same situation/doing the same thing.

That's because, for whatever reason, people tend to notice more when it's black people.

That's only in the West; because they promote racial, gender, wealth, etc. division and hostility to keep the 99% infighting/divided while the politicians and 1% continue to steal all the wealth.

In the Middle East and other parts, it is not like that. They are seen as regular humans; they are not ostracized by the society like in the West. [Yes, you will have a bunch of bad apples who 'notice' on the microlevel - but there is no hostility or ostracization like you find in the West].

Sorry, I’ve lived in Korea and travelled extensively in Asia. Broadly speaking Black/Africans are looked down upon and spoke about freely as less than human.

Next in line are the darker skinned SE Asians; Sri Lanken, Indonesian, Thai, those are one small step above them.

Brazil had a favorable view to lighter skinned Brazilians. At least most of the Brazilians I’ve spent time with.

Indians are some of the most racist people within their own culture.

Globally, we’re all racist and xenophobic in one way or another to each other. If there is someone to look down upon, they will even if they are “low” themselves.

Money can only take you so far, but you can’t shed skin color unfortunately.

The irony of this statement. Why would anyone want to do that?

    AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ask a black person who has ever travelled to China.
Have you heard of the Indian caste system?
Is there any area in the entire world more notorious for the top making money off the bottom by doing relatively nothing than the oil-rich middle east?
Get some perspective, sheesh. You're no better than Americans who think the USA is the best at everything in the world.

Very close friends of mine who are probably in the the top 5% of wealth still experience racism even living in Switzerland and navigating their wealthy bubble of luxury vacations and travel.

They don’t wish to be anything different. They just want to be respected for how they are and treat others. At the end of the day, they are still viewed as black/African by some as lower than human and treated as such. I’ve seen it even when they are paying for some crazy expensive shit, I’ll get better service than them. That was my point, money can only insulate you from racism part way.

We slightly go into injustice in race or any discussion regarding current male/woman/family dynamics and it's quickly shot down; not allowed.. while other off-topic stuff is tolerated.
