Real Madrid are interested in signing Marc Guehi on a free next summer and could rival Liverpool for the England international's signature

    Go for it Flo.

Levy should have gone years ago. Manager and player signings have been atrocious

Why? This guy brought Tottenham to a place they've never been before. They have a fantastic stadium, a budget of a good club and are run like a very good club. Problem is, for whatever reason, people have this stupidly high expectations of Tottenham like they've historically been a major club on the same level as Manchester United or Real Madrid.

25 years with a League Cup and Europa to show for it is pretty crap - doesn't matter if you're Real Madrid or Man Utd or Aston Villa.

Since he started back in 2000, he's spent 1.7 billion on players; for that, you'd expect a couple more FA Cups and League cups at the very least; not factoring in the money spent on his revolving door of managers and poor decisions in a football matter.

You could argue, his lasting legacy was moving to the new stadium but that's about it for me, sorry. There is a reason why Spurs fans have been wanting him gone for years.

an issue being another non EU player?

idk if we wanted Guehi we should’ve signed him this summer for the relatively low fee it would’ve taken. I don’t get the point of waiting in that case. Especially if we were actually interested in Konate.

    am I wrong?

Neither him nor Konate in my opinion. We should look for someone else (better) but these bosman signings makes JAS drool. I still would lean towards a younger player with big potential but i'll also be just fine with a more experienced player as long as they are very good like Rudiger was. Konate's injury record is very suspect and he's no young buck anymore. I am not at all impressed with Guehi

William Saliba. He's like a young van Dijk.

Let's be honest here, the truth is that there is no way JAS and Perez won't miss an opportunity to sign an accomplished player, from the EPL, on a free.

I do agree with you on Konate, he has a bad history with injuries and has been making a lot of mistakes recently. But I disagree about Guehi, I think he can he can be a very useful addition to our defence.

I didn't think players from African countries counted against non-EU as per some agreement that I can't remember its name. Am I wrong?

With what we seen from Militao we don't need an old head.

Give me a young prospect to get minutes and grow into the position... wait we're supposed to have like 3 of those.

Rumour is that Spurs are up for sale to a middle-eastern buyer but nothing concrete yet.

Saliba will likely renew with Arsenal, also no more Frenchies please :D

If we are willing to go through a grooling saga, might as well go after Bastoni. Inter overachieved last season with Inzaghi and I don't see them going anywhere this season. I think Bastoni has big dreams.

he's looking good so far, I really hope he stays healthy, of course for the club really for the person. It is really unfortunate what happened to him.

I still prefer Saliba; he is more mature and being French will allow him to integrate quicker.

Bastoni reminds of players like Paredes, Icardi, Garnacho, etc. who aren't exactly classy.

I've watched Bastoni his entire career, I have no clue where you're getting those comparisons from.

Pool will try their best to renew Konate. VVD turns 35 next summer so they are probably hoping to have both Konate and Guehi going forward.

He could still reject them like TAA did though as RM will try to secure pre-contract agreement in January.

I don't think Saliba is gonna renew unless Arsenal wins something big in next two seasons. Bastoni has a contract until 2028 so it's gonna be a record fee if Inter sell him next summer.

If Konate renews, a young CB like Jacquet could be RM's choice rather than a veteran depending on Militao's health this season.

His character, not talking about his talent.

Saliba would be an excellent replacement for Rudiger and complementary to Huijsen. He's also 2 years younger.

Rich PL clubs are willing to risk the likes of TAA, Konate and Saliba walking for free in exchange for competing with them for another season so I don't see Saliba leaving before 2027.

I think he would; by now he can see past Arteta's bullshit and he's already been there for 4 seasons.

Moreover, he can be convinced by Mbappe, Camavinga, and Tchouameni. :D

And I was asking that question in relation to his character. Two of the names you mentioned are, at best, shady characters at best given their off-field behaviors. Paredes is a known shit-houser on the field, dunno if he's ever done anything truly "devious", just a general shit-houser.

I dunno what Bastoni's done that mirrors any of those things other than that great photo of him dragging Gavi around.

“Does Mbappe put pressure on you to come to Madrid?”

Konate: “he calls me every 2 hours”
