Yeah and I was one of those who defended Ceballos... but that's Dani for you, no? Plays a good match here or there, gets injured when he should be growing in confidence or when we need him most then returns an absolute shell of himself, harming the team. I have defended that on here for years Not anymore. I was wrong wrong. That guy is empty, will never be a consistent or dependable option and I wish we flogged him to OM but of course his yearly trolling to find a way to get to Betis while earning Madrid level wages killed that.
There are other reasons why hes not in demand. I'd say mostly his defensive instincts, his positioning is very inconsistent and he commits silly fouls. He is a bit weak physically too and as you often say doesn't add to the G+A column. You must either defend well or add to stats if you want to be top class, dictating alone is not enough. Thats why hes a bench player, duh. Add injury proneness and voila.
RM and Rennes were very cordial during Camavinga deal. Was a surprise transfer for many as there were no strong leaks before fee was agreed. Good relationship between clubs usually helps when it comes to transfers like with Dortmund. 🚨 EXCL: Real Madrid like Jeremy Jacquet. I've only read reports on this kid and I have to say that I'm much more excited about him than Saliba or Konaté. If Arsenal try to hijack him in the last hours of the market (he's reportedly a big target for them), it'll be interesting to see how the club will respond.
He chose to stay at Rennes for development and Arsenal are signing Hincapie. 🚨 BREAKING: Piero Hincapié to Arsenal, here we go! Deal in place with Bayer04 after agreement done with the player.New defender joins #AFC on fee worth €52m plus sell-on clause with medical set to follow next, as @David_Ornstein reports. One more top addition for Arsenal. 🇪🇨 pic.twitter.com/Gg3mVdrKJx— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 29, 2025
How many LBs/CBs does Arsenal need? I rate Hincapié very well so no problems with that, but what the hell, they have Calafiori/Lewis-Skelly at LB (I know Kiwior's expected to leave) and they're pretty well set at CB as well with Saliba/Gabriel/Mosquera, Timber/White/Calafiori all capable of playing CB as well...it's literally the last position they need more reinforcement at.
We should snap him up. Looks very good and will probably cost a fortune soon. Rudiger's form and physical state really worries me...I don't think he can hold down the fort like he did the first time Militao went down.
Playing at Bournemouth under Iraiola. 🚨 BREAKING: Real Madrid were going to sign a YOUNG TALENT to replace Dani Ceballos. But they did NOT because Dani Ceballos decided to stay. @marca pic.twitter.com/ypHA4ywOde— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) August 31, 2025 BREAKING: Real Madrid were going to sign a YOUNG TALENT to replace Dani Ceballos. But they did NOT because Dani Ceballos decided to stay. @marca I don't believe this. We wouldn't have made enough money from his sale.
That's BS, we wouldn't have signed anyone: "nobody convinces the club" were the headlines ready to post if the move went ahead. The media want to create a public enemy out of Ceballos "see, it's his fault we didn't sign anyone". Big picture: it's good for the squad that he stayed but make no mistake Ceballos is a shithead. He'll be back to twerking in January and then again next summer. Then in 26/27 he'll work hard to impress and get a renewal just like he did in the last cycle.
In a showdown with Pool over a player, we always win. So if that's really the case he'll be our player. Pool should've signed him instead of overpaying for Isak. Really stupid.
Bro, liverpool came as close to signing him as humanly possible and would have, had things they can't control gone their way. Was it wrong to wait till the last day of the transfer season? Maybe. But you can't really lame them after the summer they had.
Bahahaha I saw this coming. Liverpool reportedly will try to sign him in January for £20-25m but will Glasner allow it? Does RM even know there is a winter transfer window? I think it's up to the player, really. But personally, I'd take Guehi over Konaté any day (Saliba is not happening).
They could have done both. Instead, Liverpool waited for the last 30 hours in hopes of squeezing Crystal Palace further. They should have finished this weeks ahead.
Judging by the game against Liverpool, if Arteta can have more defensive players in his team, he's going to do it.
They will still be in Europe after January, most likely in the round of 16 of the Conference League, and they are one of the favorites to win it. So, I don’t see them letting him go for another £20–25m.
Palace ownership was pretty desperate not to lose him for free. They will probably be more proactive this time and find a replacement in January. Waiting until deadline day to get maximum possible fee from Liverpool without an experienced CB replacement led to Glasner threatening to quit.
Poor business from them, he's bound to leave anyway. They turned down £75m 8 months ago and now £35m while having more than enough time to secure a replacement. Those are considerable sums for a club like Palace. Now, their best possible outcome is getting £25m even though they'll end losing the player mid-season. I won't be surprised if Liverpool (or another club) sign him in January and he arrives next season on a free.
If they win the conference league, which I'm sure they aim to do, 25 mil will be nothing in comparison.
