    In Valdebebas they say...

“FRANCO MASTANTUONO will wear the number 30

In LALIGA, numbers 1-25 are for first-team registrations, and ONLY number 25 is still available.

If they give it to him now, they'd use up the last slot and couldn't register new signings without deregistering someone.

That's why the plan is to register him as a YOUTH PLAYER and keep #25 FREE in case someone arrives before the transfer window closes.

Later, if he's officially promoted, he could take a lower number.

If I got this wrong, you can come for me and, of course, block me if you see fit, that's how it is, I had to share it.”

Gonzalo or Endrick belong on another team playing a lot of minutes to prove themselves. I don't get the plan here.

The plan is not to have 15 players on the roster and then complain about depth, injuries, and the schedule

    So what is it?

Does Rodrygo want to leave and we're waiting for the right offer, but are comfortable with him staying?
Does Rodrygo like to stay but the club sees an opportunity to move off the player and is pushing him towards being more "open" to offers?

Because to me Rodrygo's rumored wage demands could very well be a way for him to basically tank all team offers at the personal terms stage.

We're basically flipping from "it's him! He wants to leave because he's on the bench!" to "it's us! We need to move him NOW!" depending on how we want the world to look like.

AFAIK Rodrygo doesn't have any offers on the table yet. The City rumors are as close as he's come to leaving.

Right now, the squad is locked for next season. If Rodrygo decides to leave, the club might look for a replacement in some departments but unless Konate is put on the market, I don't see a midfielder or CB magically appearing on the club's radar in the next 19 days.

What's the plan? Who the f knows.

Real Madrid will leave FREE SLOT in the first team in case of a SIGNING in the last days!

Franco Mastantuono would be registered with the Castilla temporarily. @MarcA

Liverpool will offer Ibrahima Konaté a renewal in the coming days.

If he rejects, he could be sold this summer.

Liverpool believe that there are already contacts between Real Madrid and Konaté, that’s why they are pushing to finalize this situation. @MarcA

“On another note, the word is that @realmadrid is gearing up to make a move for Ibrahima Konaté once that Guéhi deal goes through. It’s all happening, and it’s going to be interesting to see how this unfolds.”

Connecting some dots.... If we're registering Franco as a Castilla player to keep a spot open in the first team for the moment, and we're also potentially letting Rodrygo go, that would give us 2 open first team spots. Konate + someone else?

Read a team can't unregister a player once registered in first team so probably saving a spot since Franco can be registered with Castilla and still playing for first team like Vini, Rodrygo, Asencio in the past.

There's good reasons to assume his agent is telling teams to stall on the deal for us to either give up something or allow more room for better terms for Rodrygo himself.

I don't think Rodrygo is as desperate to leave as some assume, so he has leverage here.

I don't think the club is forcing an exit either. The role has been explained to him, he is a super sub. I think the club left it up to him to decide if he is fine with it, but have also explained they won't be letting him go for less than a certain amount.

There is 0 chance Rodrygo is staying. The club knows it and the player knows it. They are waiting for teams to clear room for him, but he will be gone.
I would think they are keeping a spot open for a midfielder.

There is fat to cut from the squad. Alaba would be ideal to leave, but unlikely. Seems Xabi trying him as a pivot is indicating that. We should try to facilitate any way out possible for Ceballos, and if we're confident Mendy is healthy, should also find a way out for Fran Garcia. Mendy's health is questionable, but Diego Aguado is waiting in the wings and can easily step in to the first team.

If Pep wants Rodrygo as Romano says, I feel he will see that as a huge enticement to leave. Pep has a lot of pull like that.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola revealed that he has spoken to Savinho’s agent, Frederico Moraes, who confirmed that an offer of €50m (£42m) from Spurs had already been turned down.

Nicola reports that an asking price of €80m (£67m) has been placed on Savinho, and it is unclear if the north London outfit are willing to meet the valuation.

    __________

Ornstein says City want far more than 50 ME Spurs offered for Savinho.

"Some conversations have been held that focused on a deal in the region of €50m. Clearly Manchester City, if there's going to be any departure, and I say that with a capital if, because the word coming from the Etihad is that there was an enquiry, it was rebuffed, and it's going no further. But if they were to consider parting with him, it would take, evidently, a far higher number. Are Tottenham willing to stretch that far? If they are, then possibly there could be a deal."

Sure but when there's so many moving parts like that football always finds a way to ruin it.

So let me get this right... in this market Isak is £170M and Savinho is €80M.

Yet we're pushing out Rodrygo and saying "Hey give us €100M".

    This is malpractice

If this is truly correct, then we are crazy if we have made Rodrygo available at anything near 100M. Savinho is a third tier player compared to Rodrygo.

There are people here in the forum who estimated Rodrigo’s current market value at €40 million.

Club's are ready to pay huge transfer amounts if player's salary is small. Rodrygo in the other hand is probably asking a huge salary so that's why the transfer amount is smaller than it should be.
