He's been talking positively about Rodri to RM.

Rodra's claim that Florentino had no idea about Cucurella signing until it was done sounds total bullshit. No chance JAS spends 60 ME without notifying Florentino.

Sounds like Olise will be staying at Bayern at least for one more season from this Bild piece. Bayern has leverage with current contract until 2029.

I read this and my eyes rolled.

Like @boeder says the plan is for every win Florentino is the mastermind behind every move at the club; and with every failure the President is a hands off boss who is too old for the time consuming and stressful day to day decision making at the club ,he's merely a figurehead who poses for photos after the deals are done.

Good reason not to sign the guy, he obviusly lacks the intelligence and common sense of a competent human being.

Who in their right mind defeats a rival and advances in a tournament then just a couple of months later proclaims the rival to be superior team with the greater ability to win said tournament.

Man I wish people could talk about players he's like so and so, Rodri has some characteristics like Kroos but they are different players. I hope we sign him.

Rodra also mentioned Rodri is scheduled to have a minor surgery. Daily Mail journo had reported the same few weeks back.

Is this why some of you are so incredibly gung-ho, because you think he'll be cheap? He won 4 straight PL titles, the CL, the Euros, the Ballon D'Or, the World Cup and now the Golden Ball, playing for an oil club who has neither the need nor desire to sell. He was never going to be a bargain.

Optimistic about Rodri. Maybe we can send Camavinga the other way?

I love me some Rodri, but 100M is way too much.

The ol' cash + bench player for a starter trade, never fails.

Part of me wants to believe that because City doesn’t need the money and are super rich maybe they will be more willing to part ways with with a player who has already given his best years to them and they can offload and move on before he becomes a liability.

I know PSG have a different philosophy on this but maybe City has taken note and looking ahead to future transfer would want players to know if things don’t workout, or even if they do, the players won’t be treated like hostages or slaves.

Nobody is paying City €100m, I don't even think City will complicate negotiations if Rodri makes it clear that he has no intention of renewing and wants to leave.

€50-60m now or he can leave for free next summer to RM or any other club..

He won’t be cheap but he won’t be 100M. If they’re insisting on that price not worth it. Reasonable price as I said 50-65 with some of that being incentives.

Parmigiano Reggiano continues "And even if the deal is financially possible for Real Madrid, it's yet to be seen if the club's fax works, no other machine convinces the club"

A world-class deep lying midfielder is not a luxury, it is a critical necessity; an area we've failed to reinforce for 3 summers now claiming a Valverde-Tchouameni-Bellingham midfield is good enough and it's been proven otherwise or "nobody convinces the club"..

€60m or €70m is far less than the damages from a 3rd consecutive trophyless season..

Rodri would be the final piece of the puzzle in midfield. His maturity, experience, and football IQ are exactly what this team is missing. Moreover, he has a unique ability to make every player around him better.
