I don’t think Vini b’dor has anything to do with it.

We signed Mou who defended Prestianni…

I wonder if Barcelona will seriously pursue Rodri after missing out on Bernardo. De Jong is out for several months and Pedri has been off-form and was a non-factor for Spain in the WC..

So much for Perez's promises. Slandered his opponent only to deliver the bare minimum himself.

Rodri Hernández is making an effort to join Real Madrid, and is creating a campaign around it.

What I'm being told is that the Real Madrid hierarchy doesn't see the signing happening because they have doubts about his fitness and the injuries he's had.

Real Madrid is working on Raúl Asencio's departure during the summer transfer window. They are looking for a new team for him.

Guess those recent viral videos of Asencio didn't instill any confidence in him.

This is how I feel as well.

Florentino is a legend, I will always admire him. But right now, I am not too happy with him…

Riquelme should have won it was time for a change....now we are stuck with the biggest fraud,Vinni,Jude,Fede,Tcho the same awful squad and starting 11

    Utter failure

Rodri has had 1 major injury from 2019 onwards: the ACL and then 2 post-ACL hamstring injuries causing him to miss another 3 months in total..

IMO you don't boss the midfield like he did across the group stages and KOs and lead your country to WC glory as the MVP if you aren't 100% fit..

Militao has has 2 ACLs and another serious knee injury but no fitness concerns there, eh? He's still being counted on by the club and will probably get renewed. And no fitness concerns over Camavinga? Going against medical advice and renewing Mendy for 3/4 seasons?

Riquelme lied and/or flip-flopped on Klopp and Haaland, but we're supposed to believe him over Rodri? The guy couldn't even get his supposed lieutenants Hierro, Raul, Casillas to make public appearances for him..

I think this is more about the 2024 Ballon D'Or, the club's childish stance/boycott, Rodri's statements, City's banner, all of it, Junior might not even be a direct part of this, it's just Perez being a geriatric baby.

It's way more risky to sign someone like Matsutono than current Rodri.

I think it’s been a very good transfer window thus far. We have improved squad depth substantially especially in defense. We are totally set at the left and right back positions regardless who starts. Unlike others, I think we have enough depth/quality at center back at least for this season assuming Militao can stay healthy.

Bernardo Silva is still a quality player than can contribute to the team.

I just really don’t understand the reluctance to sign Rodri, it’s a no brainer on so many levels & the player really wants to come here. It does not sit well with me at all.

Zidane went to the world cup and was looking like a new born man after being completely finished for an entire season before he retired.

That said, I have no clue whether the injury worries are legit. That's why you let a player have a medical. Unless you're so scared of telling the world the world cup golden ball winner failed a medical that you don't even want to get to that point.

Only other case you could make is that the club can't pivot away from calling the guy a bum when he won the Balon d'Or.

Fraud who said Bernardo Silva snubbed Barca because of 4 year deal with double wages from RM btw. Don Balon would have more credibility.

Makes no sense for Barca who already have FdJ doing exactly what Rodri does.

Don't get the injury concerns. His role doesn't rely on speed or a lot of movement, and he's a player that will likely age like fine wine.

The lack of Spanish representation in the club at a time when they're dominating football while Madrid are trophyless the past two seasons is very much an indictment on the club. And no, Cucurella hasn't played a game for Madrid yet, he doesn't count in all practical purposes.

Could have signed Zubimendi...now Rodri...but no let's watch Tcho,Fede trying to control a ball for 3 season in a row...

It's not like Kroos and Modrid left...0 euros spend on midfielders

If Barcelona get Rodri we are beyond finished, not that things are looking good right now but if they get him ......

De Jong is out for at least 4 months, will miss preseason and around 30% of the new season..

His injury record is pretty bad

Makes no sense, but then Echevarria and Laporta also set €80MM on fire for a rotational winger, then bought another rotational winger, and have squandered months chasing a #10 in Alvarez.

All of this, in a day and age when they knew that they'll have to vacate the Camp Nou, and the finances will again be tightened as a result.

Long story, short, those guys are fvkcing morons sometimes, so it wouldn't surprise me if they chased Rodri, instead of finding a #9 to succeed Lewandowski.

Barca needs a reliable scorer to replace Lewa and that player will cost a high fee. Jong and Rodri duplication may not matter for them in La Liga because RM are badly run at the moment, but will hurt them in CL KOs.

basically the same thing as in 2010 when Spain won their last WC. We didn’t look too bad for the next decade…

I think between 50 and 60M is fair. I would even say it's a tad on the generous side. Wouldn't it be nice for a change if we all of sudden hear we signed him for 30M. Get a discount for once. Rodri's relationship at his current club is good, he can make things easier for us if we showed real interest and intent.

Let's see. Lots of time still left and Rodri isn't the only player out there. We might still sign a CB if that hasn't been pushed to next summer for some reason.

edit: thinking about it for a min, maybe we can push the CB signing to next summer and wait to see if we can sign a true top tier, ready to go, starter level guy. It's risky but we can get through one season.

We have a winner, IMO, the people who are choosing to believe that "Flo is blocking the signing of Rodri" are some of the same people who decided that Moo is the one calling the shots re building the team, different people choosing to "believe" different things for random reasons, i'm pretty sure none of theses "reporters" have any clue what Flo wants or doesn't want, as noted already, lots of time left to get things done
