Sergio Ramos told people he'd buy Sevilla and when it was time to actually pay he "forgot my wallet in the car brb" and did the football version of dinner dashing.

See when the days are long people talk a lot.

Rodri should have said that i did not know the guy called Riquelme as now if Pezez signs the Rodri then he indirect would agree to what Riquelme was saying about signing

I don't think it has anything to do with that.

Let's be honest here: if Rodri fails a medical, do you still sign him?

don't see how simply presenting it as a requirement to guarantee €187 million, complete 20 years of membership, and hold Spanish citizenship could be considered "relaxed" criteria. The number of people who actually meet all those requirements can probably be counted on your fingers.

And apparently, the membership requirement was increased in 2012, from 10 years to 20.

    from here.

The rules were tightened up for a reason. Other than the financial aspect, I feel like being a lifelong member and somewhat familiar with the culture of the institution you're buying (via citizenship basically), should be a given.

So after 2 disastrous seasons, we are getting almost finished Bernardo Silva for free, Konate for free :D , 30 yo Dumfies for 20 mil after a season he barely played and Cucurella as the only good transfer ?

We are good with Valverde and Tchouameni in possession according to Mou and Perez ? Both of them are shit scared to give options when we are pressed. Tchouameni is good enough when he is surrounded with players capable of controlling the tempo. Valverde is just not a good central midfielder. He is very good on the right wing as we saw against City and in the 21/22 and 22/24 seasons.

The only hope for me this season is to use Bernardo in pairing with Tchouameni in front of the defence. Something like:
    -----------------------Courtois-----------------------
    Trent/Dumfries - Militao - Rudiger - Cucu
    ------------Tchou -------- Bernardo
    Valverde ---------- Jude ------------ Vini
    ------------------Mbappe----------------

10 years should be more than enough to be familiar. Usually, I would agree but at this point, it needs to be evaluated whether it gives you any options or it is limiting your choice too much.

The torres signing made sense when he moved to Barcelona. Experienced Spanish La Liga Player that would add depth for rotation minutes and can play in multiple roles.

I feel his price would not make sense now that he's coming off his most productive season and coming off of scoring the winning goal.

That said Barca would probably prefer to pay the penalty to extend his contract instead of sell him to us.

Riquelme was a weak candidate with Calderon board's legacy and still got 35% votes. Only few thousand signatures is needed for Socios to call election if they lose faith in Florentino next summer itself.

We dont need midfielders. The club chose to rely on the Fede - Tchou chemistry

Real Madrid are internally reassessing Rodri's situation.

Following his outstanding World Cup performance, some members of the board are pushing for an agreement with the Spanish midfielder, who is completely open to returning to Spain, which has always been his priority.

It remains to be seen what Florentino Pérez's stance will be, as he rejected this transfer possibility until a few weeks ago. The options are being evaluated.

Manchester City have submitted a massive financial offer to Rodri to renew his contract, but the player has not yet responded.

The point is, you can have that money and the years and the signatures, and it still has no correlation to you knowing anything about football or running a football club.

Rodri Hernández remains very keen to sign for Real Madrid.

It all depends on Florentino Pérez. Reports on the player are irrelevant, because the president will have the final say.

I'd go 50-65. Put in incentives based on playing time and awards/titles.

It is extremely frustrating to keep reading the Florentino isn’t interested in Rodri, it’s really rubbing me the wrong way.

The signing makes sense on so many levels, I don’t get Florentino’s stance on this at all.

Maybe it’s Mourinho that doesn’t want him?

Between Riqueleme and Vini's Balon D'or Flo's reasoning is quite clear even if I don't agree with it.
