Why on Earth did we sign Konate? I assume that means no more CB signings?

Olise is a sensational player but generational? Yet to see that..

I wonder if RMBS thinks it's better to sign to Olise over signing a top CB + a CM and addressing more critical needs?

Of course there is no guarantees that Perez will sign a CB and CM even if operation Olise is put on hold this summer. But you can bet your butt he isn't signing any other player even we get ACLs ripping through the backline if Olise is signed for €200m+

If signed, Olise is coming in as the most expensive signing of all-time with wages just shy of Mbappe, making him the #2. Do you think that will sit well with Junior? Being relegated to #3 when he already had an issue with not being the #1?

Olise coming in effectively means Junior will leave one way or another..the main reason why the Junior cultists have an issue with the Frenchman

Mbappe and Junior don't defend or trackback, do you think the MVP and Perez's shiny new toy is going to be arsed to perform defensive duties when the other two can't be bothered?

Yeah, 2026 Mourinho is gonna make it work, sure.

Because he is "one of the best defenders in the world". Perez said so.

Same reason Rudiger was renewed: economic solutions to silence the masses.

I don't get too involved in the transfer threads but I'll say again, i'm surprised that we decided to sign the dud half of Liverpool's back four to "strengthen" our "defense" but it is what it is.......

Because he's a relatively big name for a defender, and is "free".

Flo's gotta replace an Alaba somehow.

Who knows, he might surprise us. Our expectations of him are rock bottom. Won't be hard for him to exceed expectations.

I still think, maybe i'm naive, Militao will be back again and will be better than Konate.

    Olise wants to leave Bayern.

Real Madrid, for now, is distancing itself from the matter to avoid fueling the problem in Munich.

Vinicius's camp NEEDS to see an INCREASE in Real Madrid's OFFER for an agreement to be VIABLE.

"I find it hard to see Florentino giving much up."

    @Ramon_AlvarezMM

Florentino Pérez is terrified of disrupting the salary structure.

In terms of salary, Vinicius is currently the highest-paid player on the team.

Mbappé's salary should be understood as part of his signing bonus.

This selection of players will only work if they accept that you can't have three captains on one ship. Until that's resolved, there will always be some kind of controversy on the background. On a related note: I'm kind of over the Vini renewal news. I've lost interest in that respect. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, then we have some exceptional memories with two CL wins. The last two years won't take that away as far as I'm concerned.

You shouldn't be, it's BREAKING NEWS, Real Madrid's SUPER TOP PRIORITY is to RENEW JUNIOR!!

    Four

People also want Olise, a great player no doubt.

These players will do brilliant things as standalone players in their NTs, doesn't mean it'll work if you bring them all together in one dream team and then decide to make it the coach's problem.

In fact we already have enough field evidence that it will not work.

We might be in for another Galactico disaster if we field Mbappé, Vini, Olise and Bellingham as a midfielder. It will be similar to France's World Cup campaign. Beating weak opponents with some nice individual brilliance and then crashing and burning against any team with a robust midfield.

I truly hope Mourinho has full autonomy to pick the starting 11 cause I am sure he is neither willing or able to make a 4-2-4 formation work.

I really doubt we bring olise unless we get rid of vini. So the whole 4-24 thing rally doesn’t bother me. It’s on or the other.

Olise has a contract till the end of time and the club can't/won't offer enough money to change that.

Maybe i lack the imagination necessary.

Yeah, nobody in Munich entertains the rumors. Bayern are simply not going to entertain discussions unless something totally stupid happens which i simply don't believe will happen.

In an ideal world we sell Vini and get Olise.
Vinicius isn't worth neither the salary he's asking nor the drama and antics that he brings.

Olise runs a lot, he covered top 5 distance in this WC. You start him, Mbappe and Belli who also covers a lot of distance.

Olise would cost about twice as much as you'd get for Vini.

I hope we don’t extend Vinny. I don’t think he’s going to age well and could be a massive albatross of a contract when he’s 30/31.

so then why in the Jude thread you said something along the lines of… the club will look like idiots if they spend a record transfer fee on olise. You apparently think that won’t happen so why even entertain the idea?

according to you he wouldn’t cost anything because we simply aren’t going to be able to afford him at any price

I think Bayern would sell him for anything above 200 mil. which is completely out of this club's realm.

It's really just the typical summer story only for the classic "we have the best players in the world" line to be trotted out at the beginning of the season.

Far too old now to believe in the transfer tooth fairy.

I'm just sharing my perspective on it.

Vini likely to leave as free agent if renewal talks fail. Don't think any club in Europe would want to pay even 50 ME transfer fee plus meet his wage demands.

Except you're not getting much for Junior [if he agrees to leave], the guy will be a free agent in less than a year and can sign a pre-contract in 5 months..no club is paying us more than €50-60m now.
