What are options other than Rodri that would instantly take our midfield to another level? Seriously any other 6 that’s attainable?
Is Enzo available?I know he is considered expensive compared to Rodri but he is also 5 years younger.I wanst a big Enzo fan until I saw last two matches from Argentina.Reminds me a bit on Kroos
Enzo has Paredes behind him. Argentina changed midtournament becUse their midfield was getting overrun by the first team they played.
I understand the midfield concerns and want them addressed, but Olise is a generational player. If you have a chance to bring him in, you do it. Price be damned, we've generated plenty of revenue. We should have the means to both buy Olise and a midfielder. France lose and all of a sudden the perception of Olise drops.
Chelsea paid 120 million euro for him in 2023. He is around the 6th most expensive player in the world. Chelsea is going to resale him for a loss. He has a great World Cupo, and the buyer is Real Madrid. And Chelsea spentg 135 million on Anderson. So, Enzo should be higher than that.
Olise would be amazing, yes, but we are doing same mistake like 2024... not putting all the attention where we need most - at this scenario into player like Rodri or smth similar.
For what it's worth, Sky News Germany say that Olise's agent denied any kind of transfer request and Bayern are even offering him a new deal. The only window they left open was "but who knows what happens if Madrid offer 250 million or so".
I agree that Enzo would cost probably also around 150M€.Between Enzo and Olise I would also rather choose Olise.Other "cheaper" option for midfield would be Rodri and maybe Kone from Roma.I like what I saw from Kone in world cup.Mccalister is probably also a 100M€ option which I doubt we will go for.
Kobe is EPL bound. You have Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool who have interest in him. Good though, def not Madrid starting material.
Why not both? A rule of negotiation is that you can't negotiate if you're not actually willing to walk away, right? One of the only ways Perez could bring himself to walk away from Vini is if he had a replacement lined up.

need to sell to buy a midfielder, need to sell to buy Olise what happened with the big transfer budget ?what happened with all the money that were genetated from sales ?......there are no spots left in the squad LOL really..Gonzalo,Mastanuono just these 2 useles players open 2 spots this transfer window is 4 out of 10 so far.....no real midfield signings i dont count on old Bernardo ,finished CB ,back up RB and Cucurella who looks like the only really quality player 2 trophyless seasons and nothing to change that ,this transfer window shows you that the club is just not what it used to be enjoy Tcho-Fede,Jude midfiled MY GOD they wont be able to control a ball against Elche or Rayo
this is exacly Mbappe-Kroos situatuon all over again .....same thing was said back in 2024 and we know the result we need a team, not a squad with every generational player possible who doesnt fit....Madrid was pretty fine without Messi,Iniesta,Xavi etc in the team
Lazio has officially announced the arrival of Bruno Galassi, a player born in 2007 who has developed in the youth ranks of Real Madrid since 2023. Real Madrid will get 4 ME while keeping 50% of his rights. https://as.com/futbol/internacional/oficial-galassi-del-real-madrid-a-la-lazio-f202607-n/
I think 20% max. I think this is all paper talk. Next summer, if Olise continues to play well, yeah we might but i don't see us splashing so much on an attacker when we need our midfield sorted first. We really don't need Olise right now. We should figure out Vini/Kilyan and Jude/Arda issues first before we add yet another starter to that mix. Maybe that's way too many chefs in the kitchen? We've seen our club do that before and it hasn't worked. I really wish we had signed Rodri instead of Silva. Maybe we can still sign Rodri if Spain wins. Also another CB if we can. Olise is like the third in priorities as far as i am concerned, amazing player that he is.
I don't think he's worth a record fee and there are players that would deliver similar production at a fraction of the cost. It's just not in this clubs blood to do that. They want the tag on the shirt, it's not about the shirt itself.
I disagree. The guy may have singlehandedly made us buy another left back after how he put Carreras in a blender. I think he has been world class for some time now, to the point where going into the World Cup, much of the narrative was saying he might be the best French player. He didn't exactly light it up to the extent Kylian did in the tournament, but he was still arguably a top 5 player of this tournament. Also, I absolutely loved how different the French dynamic became after the first game when they switched Dembele and Olise. Michael moved centrally, Dembele switched to the right, and the goals rained. We already know he is an elite right winger, but he may have positional versatility as well. We haven't had a player of this caliber on the right since peak Bale. I'm willing to splash big dollars on that.
This club can't afford the kind of investment that would move Bayern to a sale, and I honestly think this is not a player with a very long shelf life for various reasons. I'm at this point sceptical if a transfer makes sense.
Mbappe,Olise,Doue,Dembele.......and then they faced an actual midifeld and had pretty much 0 shots on goal
I don’t think there is any material information, whether it’s in our financial reports or our public transfers, to indicate that we can’t afford the kind of investment it would take for Bayern to sell. Roster space does need to be made, but I don’t know what has made you suggest that we can’t afford it. That’s wholly separate from whether we think the player is worth that investment. That’s where we disagree.
We’re realistically a year premature on Olise, and as others have said it only makes any tactical sense if Vini is leaving. Otherwise a 424 is straight up suicide. Destined for failure.
Rodri is 30 years old and has already suffered an ACL injury. Pep himself admitted they brought him back too soon and didn't give him enough time to fully recover. He also missed a significant number of matches for City this season due to injuries. On top of that, he's expected to undergo surgery after the World Cup to address an ongoing issue, and there's no telling how he'll come back from it. Add to that the fact that Manchester City would demand a substantial transfer fee. If we're going to sign him, I'd rather wait until next summer, assuming he doesn't renew his contract with City. Rodri to have surgery after the World Cup and is expected to miss the start of the season 🧩 The midfield transfer puzzle🆕 Academy shake up 👹 United trying to sign two talents Summer Q&A on Man City 👇https://t.co/yHJsSBjUsg— Jack Gaughan (@Jack_Gaughan) June 29, 2026
