Courtois has had injury issues in last 3 seasons. He's 34 now. Iker didn't miss a big game for a decade until injury in 2012-13 season and Navas was always available too.

Won't mind signing a 2nd GK who isn't as challenged as Lunin aerially to takeover from Courtois as #1 GK in 2-3 years.

JFD said on three seperate occasions that Junior's renewal was "practically done" only for Cortegana to sh!t on his plate hours later, so I'm taking everything he says with a sack of salt..

That said, I think Junior will lower his demands, he's not the superstar he and Jay-Z think he is and he will end up renewing..mostly because no club is paying him €20m let alone €30m..

Where are the midfielders God damn it?

Replacing Ceballos with old Bernardo Silva....this is what we get for 3 years after Kroos and Modric wtf is happening at this club

Mendy is a cheerleader at this point. There is talk that he may have to retire because his injury is chronic. There is also talk that Madrid could just buy him out if they need a roster spot.

Either way he is not really part of the squad plans going forward. It sounds like he really only has one year left on his contract because the additional year is dependent on him meeting certain criteria (e.g., minutes or games played) which he will never meet.

For roster purposes, I would pencil him in as the 25th roster player until further notice. He is simply taking up a roster spot and not expected to contribute.

 

When Fede is out, Vini is going to be like, "Wait, so now it's my job to talk to the ref? "

 

I'm fine with Vinicius staying. He is a great player. If he and Mbappe somehow sort out their incompatibilities, the results could be scary good.

We have a great attacking trio that just needs to click. If Jose pulls that off, we are fine.

 

Thought definitely getting renewed, we need him to play CB

 

I think no more midfield signings with Camavinga staying. Fede, Tcho, Bernardo, Jude, Arda, Camavinga and Pitarch for CM and AM spots.

CB more of a priority for Mou imo and there are reports that Mendes is working on Serie A option for Asencio.

 

I think extending Vinny will be an albatross on so many levels. Hope I’m wrong.
