That means Carreras is staying. Would have been a good deal to balance the books.

Wonder what Ceballos is going to say when he is unveiled as a Betis player next summer. "I only wanted Betis, RM tried to send me elsewhere but I resisted and prevailed in the end" We should just cut him from the squad.

 

Maybe Fulham could be an option for Fran with Arbeloa as the coach. Bournemouth was interested in January. Let's see if they go for him even though Iraola is at Pool now.

 

@4x4s I’ve seen you mentioned that Schlotterbeck’s release clause isn’t active until next summer(2027), but media outlets keep citing this 50m release clause right now.

Do you happen to have a source for the 2027 release clause belief?

50m seems reasonable, but if it’s truly not effective until next year then I don’t think he’s realistic this summer. Dortmund will demand a king’s ransom.

 

Maybe it takes effect in January 2027 and the club will make the offer to do it now which leaves Dortumund with no real option for not losing the player midseason unless he gets injured (which for obvious reasons also happens to be the worst case scenario).

 

Please exclude Militao from the list; it's more likely that he would get injured than be fit to play. Militao and rudiger are equivalent to one player at most

Asencio is not worth starting; that guy is better to loan out then to let him player for Madrid.

i think there is enough of an " i do not want to leave" attitude from player like Cama and Asensio, but their performance is at a subpar level; club should find answer to these type of players, something to let them leave at competitive price

Crazy how long Ceballos has stuck around despite wanting to leave every year while playing relatively few minutes.

 

I'm done with Ceballos tbh, and not because of his desire to use the situation to try and force a free transfer (that's actually fairly smart of him). But I guess Mourinho has his ways, so let's see how that goes.

Endrick,Mastantuono,Brahim,Bernardo,Arda,Fede....way too many players who can and prefer to play on the right or 10

If Endrick explodes which I expect,if he gets the chance I think he will become our Olise

The right wing is his.....there will be rotations but the minutes aren't there....Mastantuono has to leave....Brahim is too good to be a forever bench player,he can go and play for a Juventus,INTER etc.....Bernardo/Arda cover his position

I thought Fran looked a little better the last few games he played last season. I always appreciated his work rate and actually felt bad for him, it's not easy to have to cover 2 positions because your winger can't be arsed to follow/cover his man.

 

If the club is unable to get rid of Asencio and we clearly need a top tier CB, why was Rudiger renewed?
