There was a conversation between Mourinho and Nico Paz.

Right now, it's more likely he'll stay at Como for another year.

Arsenal were also interested in Nico, but he wants to stay with Fàbregas.

    Wise decision.

Unless Guler or Bellingham leave, I don't see him ever coming back and that's a shame but he's too good to be a sub.

He doesn't do the Tamandua celebration and isn't the Adidas poster boy but imo he's a much more effective AM than Bellingham..

We need to figure out the Bellingham problem. Until then there's a log jam in the lineup.

Granted I think it's easy to shuffle these players around but no one wants to play where they're best utilized.

Rudiger extension confirmed. I was half expecting it to fall through with all the Schlotterbeck/Dias rumors.

Rudiger Konate Huijsen Asencio Militao. Asencio must be on the way out if we sign another cb. Too many players for 2 positions.

Jesus what a picky bunch of. Who you expect to sign? Every best player in every position? All these signings make sense, i for one - approve.

    A starter for Argentina where?

At right wing over Messi? In midfield over their preferred trio of MacAllister, Enzo, and De Paul? Striker over Lautaro? Left wing over Alvarez or Almada?

    Paz isn’t starting for Argentina.

I don’t think so either, will likely be a sub for now. Still a lot to prove.

It's simple, either he starts at AM or try to find a new club for him. Or he has to accept being rotated more.

Signing a striker is not a priority, but it has not been completely ruled out either. For that to happen, several players would have to leave (one of whom could be Gonzalo Garcia) and the deal would have to fit within the budget, which makes this option highly unlikely.

Will Real Madrid aim for another big signing after their failed Alvarez bid?

It’s still unclear, but the plan is to sign a top-class midfielder, which would require a significant investment.

    Which players could be leaving?

Madrid need to sell players to free up squad places and have more funds for signings.

With the departures of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, the four signings already made and the return of Endrick (whom Mourinho also wants to see playing on the right wing), the squad currently has 27 players — 26 for official purposes, as Franco Mastantuono was registered with the reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla. La Liga regulations allow for the registration of 25 players.

Garcia wanted to join Bournemouth in the winter transfer window and will be weighing up his options this time around. Ceballos, whose contract expires in 2027, will seek to leave for the third consecutive summer, but wants to do so on a free transfer, while Madrid aim to receive money for his departure.

Madrid would consider a loan move for Mastantuono. The Argentine’s priority is to stay, and his camp has made this clear to those who have enquired about his situation. He would only seek a move if the club tells him to, something that seems unlikely as sources close to Mourinho indicate that he is a player he likes a lot and has faith in.

Carreras doesn't yet know directly what plans Real Madrid has for him, but the club is clear that he 's not untouchable. He's Mourinho's preferred choice to provide competition for Cucurella, but Fran García could also fill that role. And of course, he's also being considered for a move.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, who published the story in England, and as AS has confirmed, the Galician full-back's name has entered Chelsea 's shortlist. It's merely an exploratory approach, testing the waters in terms of the potential transfer fee and the player's availability. But it's a less high-profile approach than it might seem. New Stamford Bridge manager Xabi Alonso knows Carreras very well, and above all, he would have no problem adapting to English football culture.

Nico Paz informs Real Madrid that he wants to stay at Como

The Argentine international prefers to continue for another season under the orders of Cesc Fàbregas, especially since the team will be playing in the Champions League

The player and club officials spoke weeks ago, before the upheaval that led to the presidential elections and Mourinho's arrival, about the possibility of his return. Now, everything has changed, and both sides understood that a change to the original plan was best . Mourinho also hasn't been able to assire the playing time he seeks and desires, so the decision is now final.

Mario said Mou asked for Cucurella when Gvardiol decided to renew and Calafiori talks weren't progressing. Schlotterbeck and Bastoni are options for CB, but Asencio doesn't want to leave. Wonder if we will sell Carreras to Chelsea and have Schlotterbeck or Bastoni as LB in certain matchups.
