There is some kind of clause in there which requires him to play x amount of games which he clearly won't make.

I think it was Cortagana that explained if you talk to Mendy's people, they say he has 2 years left but if you talk to Madrid personnel, they say he has 1 year left. So the suspicion is that whatever clause Mendy has in his contract for that extra year, it will not be achieved.

 

True about Cucurella specifically, but the rumors about signing a LB or LB/CB hybrid were consistent, even though it was not a clear need.

He used to always play well against RM along with theatrics at Getafe. I thought Barca would sign him back from Getafe and he would become Jordi Alba 2.0 there in every sense.

More of an admission that Mourinho would be useless with young players that might need actual coaching and tactical instructions.

There’s no long term plan here or even guardrails in case project Mou goes as should be expected instead of as hoped and prayed for - break the bank to sign bunch of 30y/o veterans and if they doesn’t work do it all over again until the club finally can go back to the glory days of buying titles which never actually materialized.

Give me Enzo and Schlotterbeck. PSG and Arsenal have enormous depth. Why not RM. And PSG are in one horse race league playing their starters in less than 15 league games to keep them fresh for CL.

God damn Marc Cucurella in my team is depressing as hell. I don't think there's 5 players in the world I dislike more than this guy.

We signed regular starters from City, Liverpool, Inter and Chelsea. I think Konate, Bernardo and Cucurella will be starters as things stand with the current squad.

Trent is world class at what he does offensively so I expect him to start ahead on Dumfries.
