Think I mentioned last week, Jose always likes an ex player of the club as his assistant to work as his mouthpiece and be that link between coach - assistant and squad. Regardless if they are a coach or not.

    It’s a good move nonetheless.

I guess I don’t see the space for a CB like you’re all suggesting. Yes, I would like another CB, but we are full there.

    Rudiger - Konate
    (Huijsen - Asencio)

With Militao as the 5th always injured.

None of the first 4 are leaving. Asencio doesn’t want to leave and Mou has a special relationship with Huijsen, confirmed by the player’s father. He will want to work with him and give him chances for sure.

I think the last signing will be a CM, expensive one like an Enzo.

We also need to get rid of Fran Garcia and Ceballos, which is easier said than done. Players resist leaving Real Madrid.

I think Asencio is good as gone.

Mou tells Asencio he doesn't count on him and then he should go on loan with RM covering the wage gap. Carrying non performers will only hurt us.

He’d make a good addition to a Brentford or a Bournemouth, maybe some Italian side with a view of coming back in the future.

Why would we sell Asencio? Doesn't make any sense to me.

As far as i can recall, if what is written is to be believed, Dani has been wanting to leave for awhile now for a couple of seasons i think, especially to Betis, i've read the sticking point was always about what they ere willing to pay for him, and us feeling nervous about our midfield options in terms of creativity and control

The fans may want to sell him, i'm not sure the club does , but seeing as Moo is now the boss of who comes and who goes maybe he's as good as gone , who really knows

Thinks he is way better than he's and doesn't learn from rash mistakes. There could be too much workload on Konate and Huijsen with Rudiger and Militao's body breaking down.

50+ ME in back-to-back seasons on LB? I'm kinda shocked.

Sell Fran, Camavinga and Ceballos. Move Bernardo to midfield, get Bouaddi and Diomande and we’re done.

I guess I don't rate Cucurella as highly as some of you here, but I absolutely love how fast and proactive the club is (and he's still a good addition). Fantastic stuff!

Rudiger doesn't play LCB. Also, sorry, but a Rudiger-Konate pairing is going to be a circus..

Start numbering your updates, because we're still in June.

I’m another who can’t stand Cucurella and will be forced to root for him. Gonna be weird, haha. Glad the club is strengthening of course, even if this price tag seems a bit high after spending that much on Carreras.

Cucurella is a world class LB and an instant upgrade but now the club potentially has 5 players competing for minutes at LB if you include Camavinga, Fran, Mendy and Carreras. Just another example of there being no strategy, no plan, just spend, spend, spend and hope to win on accident.

Carlo more than deserved for the club to be this aggressive in the transfer market and get him the players he wanted and needed. Xabi being a new coach and no history to suggest there might be lockerroom turmoil at least got signings he wanted but you just can't compare players like Mastantuono, Carreras, Huijsen and Trent with Bernardo Silva, Dumphries and Cucurella.

Great that the team is getting upgrades but still looking like there's going to be holes all over in the same places as before and still not solution to the CF position or the Mbappe/Vini issue, which are the same thing.

Early indications is that Mou will probably at least be able to flat track bully the team to a Copa del Rey title and the club will sell it as the Kings of Europe are back! The plaers look a little better but I'm think we have to waith unitl 27/28 with a new manager to really enjoy the team again.

He will get a 2nd season if we win CDR. Mou in 2011 and Carlo in 2023 got another season due to CDR win.

He's not a LCB because he's not naturally left footed? He's been a LCB most of the time for us and was at Chelsea as well.

Was Sergio Ramos not a LCB because he's naturally right footed? This doesn't really make sense to me.

He will be lucky to be back by March/April. Likely doesn't count for the entire season.

Maybe Carreras as CB? At least we'll have a couple Spanish players in the starting 11.

Probably guess work after Cucurella signing since none of the journos had a clue about it.

Yes, you're right. He played both RCB, LCB.

I don't think he's a good pairing with Konate. Both are physical but also erratic, leave acres of space behind them with bad positioning and are extremely error prone. In fact, I don't think Rudiger should be starting at all.

If we are indeed going all out and sign CB and CM, Schlotterbeck and Enzo are my well placed.

Gonzalo (for a bigger role) and Fran will leave imo. Feel Mou won't count on Ceballos and Asencio as well.

    Hopefully not.

Capello won la liga twice, and didn't get a second season either time. Del Bosque got fired despite winning major titles in 4 consecutive seasons.

But it seems like Mou might have an Epstein file on Florentino because I can't for the life of me understand the level of loyalty Perez shows to that man above all others.
