    Watch.

Give him through the first January transfer window to offload/banish any guys who don’t buy-in to the new team culture.

    Have some faith in Jose.

If this was 2011, definitely. But in 2026? Not so sure.

After resuscitating his career, Mourinho probably sends Perez WhatsApp good morning messages.

One has to note that Arbeloa got into an argument with every single Carvajal client. :coffee:

This seems stupid and probably untrue. Unless Carreras was completely unprofessional we all know he can play and if nothing else be a part-time starter. The entire roster was inconsistent and a mess the whole season. At least Carreras started strong and had his moments. Anothet LB to battle with him makes sense.

Maybe the Carreras report was written by Rudiger?

Latigo talks daily BS on his YouTube channel. Two weeks ago he said Mourinho called Bastoni and he will be the first signing. No serious journo mentioned Bastoni to RM so far.

Also said Riquelme will announce Hierro as sporting director only to be proved wrong few hours later. There must be so many more wrong claims as he does this daily on YouTube.

Madrid Zone had stopped posting his fictions for a while after it became a joke. Maybe started again for engagement farming.

Exactly this. Only way he loses his spot is from some truly abominable play (which has not yet been the case, contrary to some hyperbole posted here), not following the manager's instructions, lack of effort, or some kind of drama/blow-up between him and Mou. I don't see any of that happening, but until it does, he starts.

Maybe Mou will use Jude closer to the goal in Lampard role making late runs and he can add aerial threat as well.

That's what he did in 2023-24 adding different dimension to Vini and Rodrygo up front as he didn't have to play in central midfield with Kroos starting.

Jude could play AM role again full time with Bernardo playing CM.

Part of the reason that Bellingham and Valverde are not as effective in deeper roles is because of the spacing.

They do not have those channels through which to punch into the box.

There are too many players on this team who do not open up space for their teammates and just stand around. Simply because they are not getting the ball or because they will not directly benefit from the play... they just zone out.

50% of what makes Gonzalo and Franco somewhat effective in their positions is that they at least know where to go without the ball. Many of the other players are either low Iq or just choose to be lazy and not open up the space for their teammates.

This. So much standing around and little to no off ball movement has plagued us for too long. It’s been an ongoing problem for seasons now.

Well said. I think Jude needs players to make off ball movements to be more effective, be it to progress the ball from deeper positions or in the final third where he can either take advantage of the space created or release another player with a thru ball. One of my pet peeves with our front 2 is their insistence on receiving the ball to feet and usually out of the danger zones. Vini is the bigger culprit here, it’s especially annoying as he’s devastating when he’s involved in the final action (see his goal vs Bayern away in 23-24) but instead he insists on receiving the ball deep and wide which significantly reduces his impact.

I wonder if substitute teacher Arbeloa wrote a "VERY BAD report" on the players that called him a cone..

I’m more optimistic on Konate after seeing the number of minutes he’s played in the last two seasons.

Oh if Liverpool could have replaced him this season they would have done. He was absolutely atrocious for quite a while but Gomez and the new kid they bought was injured, and they sold Quansah. He is capable of playing at a high level though.

Need to see some Bouaddi to Madrid links.

He's not French nor Spanish, and he's not free. We'll be interested when he stars for PSG and they refuse to sell :D

Arsenal chasing him as well. But thing is both teams have stacked, functional midfields. Ours is junk.

I mean it's just one game (he did boss the midfield and was the best player on the pitch) but Bouaddi definitely looks like a baller

Santi said this in December. Juni and co are aware of him. If he becomes a star in this World Cup, JAS and Flo will get excited too.

Thank you! Because I thought the aggregators were making stuff up, couldn't see anything related on Aouna's accounts. Turns out it's from 7 months ago.

It's up to the coach, really. If Jose pushes, Perez will make it happen. Bernardo was rejected in April and then again 3 weeks ago, it wasn't until the meeting Mou had with JAS and Mendes that the club reversed course.
