A Catalan ITK who is the only one to report those figures and contract length, contradicting everyone else. BS

I hate to break it to you guys, Pitarch is the exact opposite of a player Mourinho would even look at. Him, Ceballos, Fran and Brahim seem like obvious departures, though I hope we send him somewhere safe till when Mourinho eventually leaves in a couple of seasons.

I like Bernardo Silva but what will happen with Paz..We also have Bellingham and Guler who can also play AMC..Maybe we should be careful with sale of Munoz..he might surprise everyone on WC and his price could skyrocket

Ceballos leaving (which I think won't happen) will be equivalent to a new signing for me..

Pitarch has played important minutes at RM so Mou might keep him in a rotational role. I am basing this on the fact that he gave minutes to Granero as rotational player in a stacked team with the likes of Kaka as rotation option.

Pitarch can continue to be registered with Castilla due to his age. See Brahim also staying since Munoz and Paz aren't returning. Agree about Fran and Ceballos being discarded.

If I remember correctly Granero played most of his minutes at the club during Pellegrini's season rather than Mou but I could be wrong.

Pitarch seems more like a Mou player than some of the other fringe players.

Paz staying for another year at Como sounds like a good idea until we can sort out more of the squad.

Yea. Granero had bigger role under Pellegrini. But Mou still gave Granero rotation minutes despite Kaka moving to the bench due to signing Ozil. Meanwhile Canales, Pedro Leon etc really struggled for minutes. Sahin signing not working out also helped Granero to get minutes in 2011-12.

Remember Granero starting in 5-1 thrashing of Osasuna at their ground. It was a massively important game as RM lead had been cut short to 4 points in La Liga after 3 draws in short span. Dropping points at Osasuna would have meant Barca can take the lead with upcoming Clasico win at Camp Nou.

Pitarch has the work rate and technical skills though bit raw and CM is a position where Madrid lacks depth so I him keeping a spot. Intrigued to see what Mou does with Camavinga.

I'm guess a call from Mourinho to clarify his role will fix that.

He shouldn't start, and for me Arda is an undisputed starter. I think Arda is part of the double pivot and Fede on the right and Bernardo is your Swiss knife.

I think the rapid movement on Bernardo must be based on Nico wanting to stay another year, which I don't mind. We have the clause for one more year at 12M.

Don't think the idea is for Bernardo to be a starter, let alone a starter in the middle in big games. I think he can do very well as part of the rotation, and can operate in 3 different spots for you. We have a huge problem with players losing the ball, and he is one that definitely does not. Really like the move.

I still think Tchouameni is gone, and that's why we're after Fernandes (which I think is a much better fit). I would swap Brahim for Munoz, invest in a couple of more defenders.

This is also huge. We have brought adults into the dressing room. Dumfries, Bernardo, and Konate have all played at the top level, all played in a CL final or won it.

Yeah I also don’t think Bernardo is an auto starter. He’s gonna play a few roles for us most likely.

A high quality technical player, bit of a Swiss Army knife. Tailor-made for La Liga, but beware, 100% a systems player.

Adding Bernardo Silva on a short term deal is only going to be a net positive. I don’t have the slightest clue how Mourinho is going to deploy him though.

I think new faces in the squad is always good to keep everyone on their toes and to freshen up the mood in the team. Everyone now is thinking about a new start and the stench from the last two seasons hopefully is off of peoples minds.

That being said, Dumfries and Silva are shrewd signings, Konate is the right kind of signing even if I am not sold on the player. Munoz, a CB, and a backup LB with some sales would make this a great summer IMO.

in get the seniority, sort of, re age, however all these players have been on a winning CL team and are already in the dressing room, Tbo ( who's no youngster), Tchou, Cama, Rodry, Vin, Fede, Toni, Lunin, Ceballos, Fran, Mendy, Brahim, Eder, Arda and Jude, not so sure that part of the criteria is relevant re the additions, we have that experience in spades already, even more than some of the guys coming in, so far i'm happy to see Dumfries come in, Silva a bit old but decent, Konate...meh

They had Nacho, Modric and Kroos as leaders of the dressing room. Won't hurt to add some vets without drama given what happened last season. What's Fede gonna do when Rudiger goes out of line anyways?

Forget about Munoz, we aren’t bringing him back.

He’s close to joining Newcastle and we will receive half of the fee.

I think he is an auto-starter and the Portuguese coach didn't request the Portuguese player if he didn't believe that were the case.

Mourinho is also smart enough to realize our four man midfield with Thiago was doing fantastic and Bernardo is a huge upgrade there. He is also aware that the main difference outside of Mbappe was missing a Kroos like controller which Bernardo can slot into such a role.

We basically just need to get Gvardiol and we're almost done with a very good and deep squad.

The only downside I see with Silva's 2+1 deal is that in the event that he falls off a cliff in his second season, Jose might force feed him into the lineup in order for him to meet the appearances quota for his 3rd year extension out of loyalty.

All those have never led or been leaders in the dressing room. They won when Modric or Kroos or Benzema were the old heads stabilizing the dressing room. The coach will need a layer between him and the young players, players that everyone will respect and hold weight when they speak while still contributing.

I like the idea of signing Bernardo Silva. At Manchester, he might be playing in a more advanced role than what I expected Mourinho would be using him. I expect him to playing in a deeper role because neither Bellingham or Guler perform well over there.

Is he a leader? Probably. But can he stabilize the locker room in Madrid? I am not sure.
One of my philosophies in football is that you need to earn leadership in the locker room. I don't believe you can just find a leader from another team and expect him to do it. Especially when that other team happens to be a rival of Real Madrid. I watched the movie The Damned United. I also read the book. Manchester City is not our main rival like Barcelona or Atlético Madrid. the rivalry isn't even Derby-vs-Leeds United. It should be okay.
