Really? Who exactly overperformed last season? I'm a BelliGOAT stan, but I'm interested to see why you're singling him out when the entire team was dogshit and playing nonsensical football.
Vinny isn’t going anywhere. He’s got all of the leverage. Why give that up? He’s going to try and get his signing bonus and whatever wages he can next summer. He knows he won’t be benched, and if he is, so what? He’s still in the same position next summer with less wear and tear.
He had a stellar 4 months when he first arrived followed by two and half seasons of pure cow dung. But yeah, he "runs". Oh and the shoulder boo boo..poor lad.
Because the eye test tells you he has every tool. Size, strength, technique, passing range, finishing. I even think his workrate goes unnoticed. To me Jude should be a Madrid-lifer. A player you pay the price of entry to watch.
🚨 @gastonedul: “Real Madrid don’t want Julián Álvarez. My feeling is that they did this for the show, so that Florentino Pérez fulfills his promise, and saying the offer was rejected which therefore f*cks up the Barcelona path.” pic.twitter.com/jjgNIfDO7k— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 10, 2026 🚨 JUST IN: Gonzalo García considers a transfer this summer as only TEMPORARY.His dream is to succeed at Real Madrid and he will keep a RETURN option in any possible deal. @diarioas pic.twitter.com/71HC4R8VoS— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 10, 2026
In my opinion, it's impossible to properly squad-plan without solving that situation first. Since the contract hasn't yet been renewed, there's no reason why Vinicius would sign it now. It would literally go against his interest. The club is obviously not giving in to his requests, or we'd have a renewal sorted already. He must be counting on that bosman transfer and a fat bonus. I don't see any other possibility. Getting him sold this summer would be a difficult undertaking, though. This is not 2009 when Sneijder and Robben just got up, packed their bags and left. However, there are some "less cordial" ways the club could perhaps force something to happen. That, or they'll just roll over, let him go for free, and send him off with a pathetic farewell ceremony.
I'de argue that's the shine blinding everyone's eyes. Dude is supposed to connect the defense to the attack, he doesn't do that. Neither does he control the tempo. Dude still holds the ball for far too long before releasing it. His passing range is short-medium. He needs to extend his range. He hasn't improved. The guy's husting around and thats nice and all, but so does Fede. Both are ball carriers. And Valverde does that kind of job better. A DLP would be a lot better in his place. He has been average since being moved back. Unless Mourinho can integrate him into the Lampard role, his automatic starter status is holding the team back.
Wild exaggeration. He will look a lot better alongside a distributing midfielder and attackers with defined roles that they stick to. Right now he just has Vini standing on the touchline waiting for the ball to be dribbled to him and Mbappe dropping into midfield and crowding it if he's not getting the ball enough and there's no room on the wing due to Vini standing there.
Lol man I know you didn't mean it like that but LOL. Anyways I think we would be crazy to sell Tchouameni who was our best midfielder for most of the year. We need additions to our great team not subtractions and especially not removing guaranteed results for questionable ones.
🚨 CONFIRMED: Como want Gonzalo Garcia. For now, there is nothing more than interest, no offer, no formal contact. However, both sides are aware of the interest. @diarioas pic.twitter.com/UMGd9fuKnZ— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) June 10, 2026
Sooo... How did these two know about the interest if there have been no talks or offers yet? Did the eyes give it away?
I agree with you…not urgent. Just poking fun at those acting like Real Madrid is no more …due to what happened yesterday
Meh, the guy ain't a striker, and he ain't worth what Atleti want to ask. There is nothing "unprofessional" about asking about a player. Atleti, as any club, are well within their rights to refuse an offer. But Atleti carrying on about it isn't the 'sick burn' some think it is. Now, if Barca had offered, I dunno, €50MM, knowing that Atleti had just paid €95MM, THAT could be considered "insulting." I agree that Atleti carrying on about it was beneath their dignity. But I'd read that madrid "enquired, but did not table an offer." (Shrugs) At the end of the day, for as great a footballer as Alvarez clearly is, he's not a fit for either of Barça or madrid, especially at that price point. My hope is that Barça/Deco/Laporta are saved from themselves in this instance.
If we don't sign Olise, which is looking impossible, I think I'm warming up to the idea of signing Bernardo Silva. Not quite a natural right wing but probably a smarter player than the lot we've got in those spaces.
Not his biggest fan but he’s a high IQ guy and apparently out of contract…..might be the move for real. From a financial standpoint, if going relatively cheap again means we can drop good money on the other positions, Im down.
I really like Bernardo Silva. He's an intelligent player, with great close control and very very good under pressure. If there was a question mark it would definitely not be in relation to his quality (he's a fabulous player), but more whether he is a good fit. Indeed, he's been a great player at City in part because, among others, they play high up the pitch, have a lot of possession, suffocate opponents and surrounded him with (in general) similarly high IQ players (or at least players that put in the work and understand their objective on the pitch). If we played a bit like that, his signing should be considered an absolute no-brainer. But with the amount of space we typically work with (looking to launch Vini and Mbappe)? Let's say, the team would need to be set up a little bit differently. Still, great player and I would definitely not be opposed to his signing.
We haven't had savvy vets in midfield since Kroos and Modric left. Bernardo was regular starter for City last season. He's lost that extra yard of pace needed to play on the flanks, but had the technical ability crucial to Pep's team to play in deeper role last season. I think he can challenge for a starting spot at RM if we sign him.
Anyone watch a lot of Mateus Fernandes? Can he dictate things from deep? tempo setter? Or a Fede/Jude type high action player?

I don't think Mourinho will settle for the impotent triquetra of Valverde-Tchouameni-Bellingham, it is as much of a demonstrated foolishness as the duo upfront. In fact, I think 2 of those 3 need to change. Bernardo easily starts in our sham of a midfield. He brings skill, experience, maturity and leadership and imo can bench anybody without creating a fuss.. If he isn't sold, I see Valverde moved to the RW and I'd love to see him or his wife bitch about it..
