We are not gonna get a deep lying playmaker are we?

We are going to play counter attack against deportivo aren't we?

Have they not realised our main weakness? What's going on?

Rumors definitely seem to indicate that Mourinho told Perez that if he's coming and is expected to win now, Perez has to relent on his "young/expiring contracts only" transfer policy.

Hope he listens. We have plenty of the young up and coming stars. Let's get some battle tested players.

Mendy literally can't stay fit and article says Fran will be sold. Also neither can switch to 3 CB formation in a match. Carreras showed some versatility under Xabi.

Ramon, Romano and now JFD said Mou wants a defender who can play CB and LB with Gvardiol/Calafiori as main target.

Very well. Mendy has one more season then an optional year which I pray he won't get. Fran reportedly has offers and he wanted to leave in the winter.

Let's look at these LB/LCB options.

Calafiori is made of glass, his recurrent knee issues are a red flag. Are injury-prone players some sick kink this club has because he missed 5 months of football last season and 15 games this season (club and country).

If Jose wants a reliable squad player for tactical flexibility in the 55+ games, is this really your guy? Again, not doubting his talent, but hard pass on his durability.

And what makes Perez's mouthpiece think Calafiori is more feasible? Saliba (CB) is probably getting a back surgery after the WC, Ben White (RCB, RB) is likely leaving and Timber (RCB) seems to have a chronic groin issue. Why would Arsenal be so eager to sell a versatile defender under those circumstances–well, aside from his fitness issues?

Also Calafiori played all his games this season as a LB. Gvardiol played mostly as a LCB (88%) and LB (11%)

City's starting CBs are Guehi, Dias and Khusanov. At LB they have O'Reilly and Ait Nouri. City have options and Gvardiol is no longer an undisputed feature in the XI.

I think that makes Gvardiol more realistic choice + he's a much better player. He'll obviously be more expensive..fvcking get Gvardiol :D

The Bernardo Silva rumours don’t make sense.

Yes he’s played more as a centre mid for City this year, but in a Pep system. In a Mourinho system he’d be a conventional attacking mid in the centre, where we already have multiple starting calibre players.

Olise makes perfect sense irrespective of any other sales or signings, we need a RW. And if Vini is sold then Alvarez in the centre playing Robin to Mbappe’s Batman makes plenty of sense as well. That’s a Cristiano-Benz lite.

Bernardo has the capability and experience to play at CM replacing Fede in a double pivot with Tchouameni.

Gvardiol would be perfect for us, and hope we wrap that deal soon.Hes born to play for RM said it from first day i seen him play in Dinamo Zagreb. 8/10 we sign him
Kvara what a player, hope i see him one day in Real, that cut inside and workrate in defense. Vinni will never match that... 5/10 But we need to sell Vinni!!!
Osimhen pace, finishing, strong and amazing workrate. What can u get more from a striker.3/10
I would say few more names i see as realistic and would be amazing for us.
Rice do i need to say anything? 4/10
Elliot Anderson u want next T,Kroos check this guy.Mybe the best midfielder this season in Premiership. 100mil but partner him with Jude Valverde and Tcho damn. If we want to sign im sure we get him, but he will end up in City or United .Mybe in 4-5y when he shows how good he is on elite lvl. 1/10
Olise fortune but possible to end up with us .6/10
Alexis Mac Allister i hope we wont end with this guy , good but never seen world class in him 7/10
    ENZO-overrated if u ask me...no thank U!
Budimir get money selling Gonzalo, he wont play anyway, Budimir as a option from a bench amazing...10/10 if we decide to sign
Rodri, Bernardo Silva,Califiori,Alvarez all upgrades but for me nah.
Hjulmand;Rashford,Fernandes decent options, i would not mind if we get any of them.
    Cucurella pls God NO!
Munoz would be decent option for backup for Jose system.
    So far signings we done:

Konate- decent option but im kinda scared of this transfer i have to admit.hope it wont end as a flop.Dumfries better option on that right side we could not get.Amazing deal!

From Paz i expect he will bench Arda if we wont end up signing Olise.IIsee him as a 10,drifting to right flank aswell, he would have a spot under Jose thats for sure and would be amazing at his role.
Endrick: hmm hope im wrong about him, but if we get Olise this guy dosnt have a chance. For him better to stay on loan one more season.
Mybe if we ship Vinni somehow he would have a spot in team as a striker, until then naa...

One of Cama/Tcho needs to leave if we sign world class midfielder, Fran,Asencio,Ceballos,Brahim,Gonzalo i hope Vinni will go.We get get around 150-200mil for them,Vinni mybe 80-100 if we manage to ship him somewhere, but chance for that is rly low...
Rodrygo will stay bcs his injured, i still rate the guy,but lets see after recup what will happen.
Franco loan similar to Endrick.Thiago loan/buy back.

According to information from Catalunya Ràdio, Bernardo Silva 's entourage believes Barcelona 's interest in signing him has cooled.

Furthermore, the report also indicates that Atlético Madrid is currently closer than Barcelona to securing the services of the former Manchester City player.

The Portuguese player, although he initially wanted to go to the World Cup knowing which team he would be joining next season, seems to have postponed his decision for later.

Olise would be the closest answer we'd have to Lamine Yamal. He would take us to the next level offensively.

    It's Joao..Felix :ninja:

The fact that journos are contradicting each other is by design imo. Either this is campaign drivel that Perez or he doesn't have a concrete player and is spitballing to see what sticks..

It does seem by design and its demonstrating how most sources don’t truly have inside information. Either Flo was lying or there are no leaks.

But if you had asked me gun to my head who is the most reliable journo when it comes to Madrid, I would tell you Arancha. Which is why it’s surprising me that she’s saying this given the extreme difficulty it would be to get someone out of Paris. Unless we’re going to grossly overpay to get it done

Arancha has good sources but lately she's been focusing on injuries and fitness issues..

I think Florentino has no plan. He has a few names he likes, mostly from the UCL semi finalists, he's trying to see which club/player bites. Problem is he's stuck in the 2000s. Elite clubs are not going to sell their marquee stars, a lot of these clubs don't want his money either.

Well, now El Chiringuito is saying it's Enzo..

Coincidentally I think we're entering the Vini space with him where the media presents hi. Ich as a much better player than he truly is and the response when things settle to a realistic level will be negative.
