Julian makes even less sense than Olise. Not a pure winger, not a target striker, spending 150 on a 26 year old…

    I’d rather ride with Endrick

Maybe they don't see Vini renewal possible.

But he didn't eat them. If it was Hazard, plate would have been empty.

Hazard would also be on his third plate of chips while the cheeseburger is cooking

Out of all the names being thrown around Alvarez is the only one I got excited about. I have no idea if it can happen, I don't care if the fit is right or not, I would love to see him in a Real Madrid jersey. I think he's great, top player.

This is hilarious. Getting Alvarez isnt a bombazo. A bombazo is Haaland, Olise or Yamal. Oh well, we'll have to see tomorrow.

Tbh Alvarez doesn't excite me that much purely as an offensive player either. But he's like Di Maria of forwards which will help bring balance and local fans would love it if RM gets an Atleti star who's the top target of Barca.

I think he's better with his head than anybody on the entire real Madrid roster and takes free kicks pretty well.

I like him, not quite the flashiest player though. And I wouldn't know where to fit him in our team.

Very much agree, the most complete player to play for the team since Benzema, an absolute team player and skilled in every facet of the game.

He fits if you get rid of Junior. Just saying.

Although a decent player if it's Alvarez who's leaving?, i can't see the point in Vin, Alvarez and Kylian,, after all the grumbling about team composition, gaps in the team and making necessary purchases not just random ones ( square pegs in round holes and all that) this would make little to no sense to me

Atleti can maybe ask for him in exchange. He's a hit with their fanbase.

I don't think it's fruitful to discuss players solely individually. That's why when we think of players like Valverde, Tchouameni, Jude, Arda, if we think of them in isolation, they're all elite players, yet somehow collectively it crumbles spectacularly.

Even if Vini were to leave, which seems unlikely, I don't understand the tactical fit. This player reminds me of a younger Griezmann, maybe an Endrick now. How are you going to put him in attack with Mbappe? At least Vini is more of a true winger that can create from wide areas.

He's a smart decision maker in the box, but this is a player that has been getting accustomed to receiving service from Lookman and Giuliano, we won't have any wingers doing that for him.

Vinicius has one year on his contract left. It's irresponsible to not think about the future.

I think he's so much more of a team player than anybody on the Real Madrid roster in attack right now.

Wholeheartedly agree on this, but any time Florentino speaks about him, it's an expression of his desire to get the renewal done. And the reports seem to suggest we're willing to wait until next summer if need be. Illogical roster management, but if true, he's at least sticking around another year and playing every minute that he's available. That also determines the context that a 150 million signing would walk into.

Florentino said a lot of contradictory stuff. Won't read too much into it. Said Mbappe didn't play in his natural position last two seasons and that will change next season. Said he wants to renew Vini and if Vini wants to leave for free, that's fine too.

They started renewal talks with Vini in 2024 and still no breakthrough. Can't remember anything similar. Ron 2013 and Ramos' 2015 renewals only dragged on for a year.

I think Alvarez (if he's the target/there is a target) would be a great signing but it is a very difficult deal.

I see many positives with Alvarez:

    - Plays as a striker or slightly deeper and is a superstar at both; positioning works well for Mbappe

    - Excellent workrate and teamwork, very intelligent

    - We get an Atletico player and a Barcelona target, a double whammy

    - Facilitates the departure of Junior

On the off chance this happens, I'm all for it..

Alvarez reminds me of Rodrygo. A fine player, technically sound, can work with most players and a good support player but not somebody you splash 150 ME on. That would be irresponsible. He would be nice to have if we were selling Vini but if we are keeping him then this would be a headscratcher and money better spent in other positions.
