I want a Midfield 3 of Jao Neves, Mateus Fernandez and Nico Paz. Endrick as the 9.

You will have a weekly fight club in the locker room benching all of Valverde, Bellingham and Guler.

I think drastic changes are in the realm of fantasy, that's why Mourinho is on the call, he's going to work with guys that are there and use his experience to get more out of them.

Endrick or Gonzalo; Mbappe on the left and Olise on the right.

Haaland is less likely than Olise. Whoever buys that is a fool and a moron.

Guardiola left and Haaland has expressed interest to play for Madrid before. If there is a secret Schlotterbeck clause, its possible. Either way its smarter endeavour than offering to drop a club record fee on a guy who was available for the same fee as Huijsen just two years ago.

They can still prevent Mourinho coming back by voting in Riquelme. Mourinho is the opposite of a long term identity building guy. Nobody can come after him and continue his work, its always back to square one, and even from negative since he usually leaves clubs in shambles.

We need drastic changes and Florentino-Mourinho will prevent that.

Konate, Dumfries, Bernardo and Calafiori means less than 100 ME spent on transfer fee. 180 ME range if they sign Mateus Fernandes as well.

I don't think the club needs a complete overhaul. However, we do need signings in very specific positions; Konate and Dumfries is a good start. Looking forward to see what's ahead, though I'm very much aware that it won't come close to being as exciting as the 2009 season. We need to be realistic.

I dont know how anyone who watched the last two seasons can think this. The structural issues are massive.

You're willing to gamble the entire future of the club because you're afraid of Mourinho. That's absolutely crazy.

Worst case Mourinho doesn't make the team better or worse. Second place in the League, no CL trophy.

    Wow, better start the funeral.

Only on the internet you will find a person that claims Arbeloa deserved a full season and has potential talk about Mourinho as if he's a recently converted curling coach.

Not a fan of Mou but he's the safest option there is right now. Guarantees a safe floor. As unsexy as the end product might look like.

I understand the power and legacy that Fede has at the club, and also the fact that the both of them will now find it hard to co-exist in the squad, but it would be a shame if we sold Tchouameni.

Tcho's contract expires in 2028 so club has a decision to make on the renewal as well. His price drops to half next summer if there's no renewal agreement.

Mourinho is extremely toxic, divides the locker room (like we need more of that) and has zero roster construction ability beyond his short tenure. He creates no sustainable identity, he doesnt build for the future, but actively sacrifices it for short term results which are far from guaranteed. We finish second or third (another trophiless season) and were stuck with the likes of Bernardo Silva and Dumfries with zero direction for the future. At least Arbeloa develops talent. Mourinho doesnt. And Riquelme doesnt gamble the future of the club any more than Florentino does.

Dumfries is a back up for TAA who's only 27. If club is willing to buy an expensive back up like Coentrao, not like Mou would have said no now. :D

For a manager with such short term vision, his signings in 2010-13 were Ozil, Di Maria, Modric, Khedira, Varane, Coentrao, Callejon, Sahin. Only Carvalho was old.

Club gave him money to spent despite 250 M record outlay in 2009. RM has a certain spending limit compared to that era no matter who's the coach.

Now at the tail end of his career, having won nothing for god knows how long, with Madrid in the desperate situation that they are, he will be more short term oriented than ever. 2026 is not the same as 2010. His worst tendencies are amplified. Hes a gimmick by now, a circus act. A pundit and a commercial actor that doesnt want to admit hes that. Maybe Casillas is actually right, even Del Bosque could be more of a manager now than Mourinho.

And yes there is a limit to spending but that depends on departures, and Mourinho would see this structurally unbalanced squad and will think he can put some patches over it to play shit on a stick and rely on individual bailouts to win a title here or there. It wont, it will crumble gloriously and it will be tough to see for a fan.

Bernardo Silva....meh.... never been a big fan. A player I respect for his ability, but just not a fan of his football. Seems like such a Barca type player.

I hope we go in a different direction

Lewa joined Barca at 33 and won three league titles. Gundogan played well at Barca in his short stint. Joselu was a short term solution. Don't mind Bernardo Silva on 2+1 deal at RM. Think he will be a success under Flick if he opts for Barca.

West ham were relegated, I'm curios if they will be able to keep their players.

I've seen two West ham matches this year and I don't remember anything so I am curios how good this Fernandes kid is.

The Tchouameni situation is more to do with his contract situation than anything else.

I am not completely sure how much leverage a player has when their team get relegated.

It is not exactly the same as someone with one year left on their contract but there must be some form of leverage because of the financials of being in a lower division.

It is also not guaranteed West Ham get promoted next year. I've seen many teams think they will be back instantly and then languish in 2nd division for a couple of years.
