Hazard wanted to stop playing so he took his base salary and went away. Ceballos would be sacrificing any kind of game participation bonus/payments he receives if he does that, don't think it's likely.

To his credit, Hazard took a pay cut and ended up retiring. Vallejo, Alaba all refused a similar arrangements.

Unless the club presses Ceballos somehow, he'll stay. But this is convenient for Perez, he won't have to buy a midfielder: "X refused to leave".

But I think they worded it differently. While Calderon promised he'd bring in Kaka amongst others Riquelme says he has a deal with someone. In this social media age I'd be surprised if said player stays quiet after he name drops him whether it is to confirm or deny the report.

Flo signing will be Dumfries or Konate. Our major problem is Kroos style of player replacement. A player who can hold the tempo of the game. I also think Tchu might need to sell as for the money and bring a star instead of him to that role who can actually contribute to the team

What with the club's fetish for injury prone players? Jose reportedly asked for Calafiori. The guy missed ~13 games for Arsenal and hasn't played 5 straight games for the club. Great player imo but Arsenal isn't selling him..

Arsenal are full with great defenders.....we are going after the worst one:confused:

I like Dumfries signing but if Konate and Calafiori are the other 2 defensive signings...this is meh

Gvardiol,Shloterbeck,Bastoni etc and in the end this is it....not impressive

Profile makes sense, CB that can comfortably play LB. But don’t like player much.

Guess he's looking for a CB who can also play LB. Gvardiol is the best option for that but don't see City selling. Calafiori has missed 235+ days in last two seasons for Arsenal. Also had an ACL in 2018-19. Konate only had one injury in last two seasons and missed one month.

I'm not impressed with any of these transfer rumors so far. For me Konate is kinda a uninspired type of transfer. The club isn't really taking the defensive issues seriously signing a player like that. You'd think they'd recognize that if our attack isn't going to work harder our defense has to improve in a meaningful way not just increase the roster with more bodies.

There is a reason Konate was discarded just last season and just back on our radars now with Mou about to take the helm.

Konate was discarded when he was going through horrible run of form. Returned to better version after that so RM management and Mou went for him as bosman status is appealing to former too.

Mou is not someone who'd overlook defensive ability for ball playing CBs etc. Konate isn't a ball playing CB anyways.

Such a silly narrative that Konate started all these years for Liverpool without being good at his primary job. Health was his major issue from 2021-24.

Militao’s injuries have really hurt the clubs planning. Not his fault of course, but a tough situation.
Konate - physically talented but prone to mistakes and not great on the ball. Not at all enthusiastic about the signing but hope he proves me wrong.

Dumfries - I like the player, his physicality but not the age. Price is good, so hopefully he stays fit and has a great stay in Madrid.

Think we should sell Brahim, bring back b Munoz for some actual speed and wing play.

Gvardiol would be a dream signing at CB.

Mateus Fernandes over Enzo, the guy has some talent and plays as an actual 8

With these defensive signings unless we get Gvardiol,Bastoni,Cucurella....we are adding bodies not quality....injury prone bodies...

If it is true that Mou is a fan of Fede that means more likely the club will cash in on Tchouameni, don't see these 2 playing together in midfield....and I won't miss Tcho to be honest
