Eitherway, need experience. Can’t rely on youngsters all the time. Also leadership.

Konate couple of days ago said he's close to agreeing a new deal with Pool.

“My future? To be fair, there are many things people have said but for a long time we have spoken with the club and we are close to an agreement. I think everyone wished for that for as long as possible but we are in a good way. For sure there is a big chance I’m here next season. This is what I always wanted. I’m waiting to sort the contract but when everything is sorted you will have to ask Richard what I said to him in September, November and he’s going to say something to make everyone quiet.”

Until we find a manager who can force Mbappe, Vini, Bellingham to work in the same team, or we sell at least one of these guys, I can’t see how we’re going to become a coherent team.

If Bellingham continues to refuse to play an 8 role and instead roams into attack, I don’t see how we can keep playing Arda or why Paz would return.

The attack, overall, isn’t good/consistent enough to offset us being off balance all season long.

Throw in Adam Wharton and shipping out Camavinga and I'll sign up for it.

Unfortunately you can't just buy your way into leadership. You have to develop/nurture the right personalities and let them get cohesive with the team before leadership becomes a thing. You have to give them the agency, the backing and the tools. These have to be cultivated for a while.

I think the team was banking on Fede, Vini and Tchouameni becoming leaders. In hindsight, oh how very wrong we were...

Fede has especially disappointed me. He's not only a hot-head, but he doesn't strike me as someone who will be like Puyol, Ramos or CR7. Someone who will tell people to grow the eff up and play and get aggressive when the opposition is taking your team for a ride.

The fact that Vinny is a vice captain and behaves the way he does is all you need to understand why our leadership is the way it is.

Smit is yet another 3-5 year project.

We need an established midfielder to come in and instantly take the reins, the Dutchman is hardly that. Expereinced midfielders are too expensive? Yeah, that's what you get when you put off replacing Kroos for 3-4 years and instead try to convince the fans that "nobody convinces the club".

Smit doesn't have the experience nor the credentials to replace any of our starting midfielders without creating a dumpster fire.

Wharton isn’t coming to Spain. He’s staying in England, probably United, Liverpool or City.

The fact that we are not looking at Stiller is disappointing.

Looks like he struggled against Porto when they lost home and away in EL. PSG also troubled him in CL last season by forcing him to use right foot. Maybe not cut for the elite level. World Cup will be a good test.

For me ideal scenario would be:

Rodri + Smit. That would be a big jump in quality.

Cama, Brahim and Ceballos out to raise funds and create space.

With Paz coming, no real need for Brahim imo.

Gotta be realistic with current RM management. Not signing a CM is very likely too if Smit chooses City. Any experienced CM costing 80 M+ is impossible let alone Enzo price range.

So he called RM twice in one week to "offer" Jose and then Bernardo? Why wasn't it in the same call? :D

JFD thinks RM fans are on his horse manure diet.

Bernardo probably has couple of seasons at top level with Flick's Barca. They are gonna get better with him and Bastoni/Jon Martin.

How to make minor tweaks in areas of need. We can learn a thing or two from them.

Fair, however, we have Dani Ceballos
Yeah, let's see how he does at WC, I fully agree.

I really do not know why Real Madrid did not mention Diamonde of Leipzig, i truly believe he is top, i did not see a player to convince recently like Diamonde! He is top dribbler, but with very good passing and wonderful finalization. I believe Perez again will say let him go to premier before we consider him, then we overpay for him when he is on decline already!!!!!

Those are some solid recruitments, if they manage with their current financial situation then kudos to them..

Could have got him for cheap when he was at Leganes.

If Nico paz comes back, is there a real possibility that Jude gets dropped from this team?

It sounds crazy but look Arda has already outperformed him this year, if Nico does the same, we are going to have to make some difficult decisions.

Jude doesn't look like he is going to make the English team either. He has lost his star power and looks almost average right now. Only his athleticism saves him.

    Tough choices ahead.

Nah, I'd have Rodri. Make use of those clauses on Gila and Paz too while we're at it.

Yes but if it did not happen, it does not mean it should not be considered! As a A license coach, in Diamonde i have seen many things that Vini and Mbappe do not offer! It may look crazy but for he is already a top player who can easily outperform both. Furthermore, he play in both left and right wing, but looks more dangerous in the right wing something we lack!

His numbers for his age look very impressive considering he’s only been in Leipzig one year.

I’ve never heard of him until this post.

Transfermarkt has him as a primarily left winger with a preferred right foot though.
