Will have to nitpick 2-3 game "stretch" because they were still losing to the likes of Osasuna and Getafe back to back in La Liga. Celta match was miserable too until late deflected winner.

It's like last season when they beat City twice, played well in first leg at home at Bernabeu and was dross for majority of the games otherwise.

We didnt just 'beat' City. We dominated them. Did the same to Atleti. We looked wonderful. It isnt just nitpicking. We'd go into games knowing we would look great attacking wise. Not much can be done about the defence. We are back to being clueless now. Fede as a bag carrier, Vini as a touchline hogger, Tchouameni as a sideways passer etc etc. If we'd played against Bayern with the same team that played City and Atleti I am positive we could've come out with a win against Bayern. City were actually better than them against us defensively

Perhaps or shift one of them to the right and get a proper n9. The only way that partnership could work.

Wven if Vini left I think we'd have to get a CF to be compatible with Mbappe for it to work. With Vini you can make it work with the players we already have because he can do both create and score. Mbappe won't leave and Vini will probably accept the terms of the contract meaning the only way we can get this duo to work is if one has a free role on tbe right

Neither will accept RW role. Vini still hasn't renewed while Mbappe has a contract until 2030.

No matter how much so of you beg to severely weaken the club we won't do that.

What needs to happen is positional maturity and player growth from Mbappe. If that happens we will crush teams.

With how this club operates we are probably going into the third season "hoping" that it works

Frame it also with maturity from Vinny as well. Both players are culpable.

So our hope to success is Mbappe willing to change which didn't happen with LW Neymar and LW Vini. Sounds like hoping imbalance will fix itself like 2003-06 Florentino era.

Huh? Great players know how to adapt and grow their game.

His entire country (including Thierry) has been asking him to make this adaptation and growth. He's literally a Cristiano wannabe and his idol made the same adjustment.

Vinny has been hot garbage for the better part of two seasons now, all because of Mbappe?

    Please.

Mbappe doesn’t make Vinny over dribble, keep his head down, go the byline and cut the ball back at the same time difficult angle, or laziness for tracking back when losing the ball carelessly.

Yes, Mbappe isn’t perfect, but of the two, he’s been the better player over the last two years.

Flo will stick with Mbappe and Vini. We need someone like Klopp to have the attack click with superstars making some adjustments.

All we need is Mbappe to dedicate himself to staying higher up the pitch... you know how he does whenever we don't have the ball.

Yeah. But its' just weird.. everyone knows the issue but he still doing the same. So coaches are not communicating well or Mbappe just stubborn...? what's the case.

I don’t know why he won’t just stay up front.

Some stuff is just natural to you from repetition.

I'm sure Mbappe has gotten the message after so many great players flayed him, including his country man Thierry Henry.

He doesn't drop deep to defend yet when we get the ball he drops deep? Make it make sense. Use your explosiveness and cause havoc to every opponent backline

We have seen Dembele change, adapt and grow. Why can't Mbappe? If he wants that trophy Dembele got? He has to.

If anyone is hoping for Madrid to sell Mbappe or Vini, you are going to be disappointed.

Mbappe will have to learn to play as a 9. I am not optimistic but those are the cards you have been given.

Unless Mbappe accepts his role, the team is going to go in circles. Mbappe in general needs to play for the team instead of being a blackhole upfront.

The guy also has not played left wing in ages. And to be honest he is quite bad at it.

This is not a good example. How many years did it take for Dembele to wake up. :p

It’s not a stretch for us to look to sell Vini, he’ll have a year on his deal soon and nothing indicates to him extending. Crazier things have happened.

Can we get someone who actually excels at playing RW/RM? Mbappe ain’t going anywhere and I don’t see Perez letting Vini leave so our balance issue could be helped with a proper RW, or just consistently playing 4 mid diamond with Paz/Jude in the AM role and a new mid in the Kroos spot. Fede/Tchou/Cama for the remaining 2 spots plus one for depth. I have no faith in Mbappe/Vini partnership working as the chemistry between them is still 0.

Well Dembele woke up at 27 and Mbappe is 27. Literally no excuse.

He won't ever win that trophy if he doesn't adapt because his teams won't win unless he does.
