The RB situation sucks, we can’t get any continuity there and keep having to pull Fede which has other knock on midfield impact.

Anyone have news on Fortea, there was some hype last year and is now the time to bring him for minutes… probably not as a starter out the gates but see how he does.

 

TBF it's not like he's been lighting it up in midfield this season and it often opens a spot up for Camavinga who has looked promising at times.

 

Fede himself was a training cone yesterday as well.

 

Fortea wasn't even part if the Castila in thier 5 league games. He played only 7 minutes in thier last 10 league games.

I don't know, for me neither Fede or Cama have been lighting anything up so far this season, the midfield has been, more often than not, ordinary no matter the personnel, i can't see how Cama has been more effective in any way, neither of them has shown any consistent quality, but Cama is a player many like and dream will come good so we are still looking for that, we've already seen Fede be consistent but he seems to have lost his way a bit under Xabi.......

 

He's been putting in good performances consistently this season.

We should sell, vini, rodrygo and arda before their value plummets and rebuild this squad. Of course, ascencio, mendy, fran, ceballos, brahim, alaba, rudiger, endrick all need to go as well but they will go for peanuts. Yes, thats half the squad that are dead weight we carry around for no reason.

 

I know the playmaking was frustrating as hell to watch, not to mention the result, but people are acting like we were dominated and played off the pitch when it was 20 shots to 10, 62/38 possession, 2.29xg to 1.54xg, and some shocking, atrocious refereeing. Their 1st goal was a great finish, but also very lucky. The second against 9 men chasing while down a goal is not remotely worth analyzing.

 

Great, more nursery children to manage.

 

Big names who we think are untouchable etc are simply not good enough to be here long term.

Arda is way too slow and weak as a 10/right wing ,he is like James just doesnt fit in modern european football SELL,Jude and Fede had their chance to show something as Kroos/Modric replacements and THEY FAILED miserably SELL .

Sell atleast Jude he has value,Fede could be kept as a squad player that is .

Nico Paz is coming back and he is more creative and mobile CM than both Jude/Arda.Another one or two midfieldrs need to be signed.Go for Stiller or Wharton players like that who can actually keep the ball and pass it .

I know it's hard to wrap your head around, but it is possible to not win a title yet still not be a "fraud".

 

It's all tragic in hindsight but we fixed this in the summer. We signed Trent, Huijsen and Carreras, who can play as a CB. We went into the season with Trent, Carvajal, Asensio, Huijsen, Carreras, Fran and Militao all healthy. We also had Mendy, Alaba and Rudiger to come back.

 

"can play" is not the same as "he's good at", a lot of patch work happened.

We can't afford to lose Carreras to CB (he's not good there btw) because well Fran isn't up to par. Mendy and Alaba don't come back, let's be honest, they are perpetually injured. Rudiger is a risk and Militao is a 2x ACL dude.

That's not a good CB line to have.

 

Carvajal - Huijsen - Militao - Carreras

Trent - Rudiger - Asencio - Fran

That's more than enough defenders to start a season with and doesn't even include Alaba or Mendy. I have my general doubts about Trent, but didn't expect him not to be available for most of the season so far.

We have 10 defenders on the team. 7 of them are injured. That's pretty unprecedented.

 

Since Osimhen is widely unpopular and on the wrong side of 25, Id spend 80 million on Aghehowa. Fantastic profile.
