Bombshell from @RadioCanadaInfo The Montreal Impact are reportedly going to ditch their team name of nearly 30 years and rebrand as Montreal FC. https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1753790/soccer-mls-impact-montreal-fc-changement-nom…

The words around are slightly oval. It looks like the New Mexico state flag. If legit, this is the least impactful rebrand since Chicago’s. Oh you’re saying it’s the only rebrand since then? Well it sucks then. New Mexico Ski Patrol FC
Supporter's Groups ARE NOTE HAPPY with the rebrand. Issue a joint statement: https://soccerforums.us/Thread-Montreal-Impact-Fans-Revolt
Good. I'd hate to be called the Feet. Seriously, why destroy an established and unique brand like that?!
It sounds like a fetish group, TBH. Just ewwwww. The butthole looking logo doesn't help either. That's a whole other fetish. WTF were they thinking?!
Montreal's rebrand was so bad. The arrows in a snowflake meant nothing. The snowflake was an odd idea for a team badge. Thankfully they will rectify that travesty of a rebrand. (Here's a hot take: The Galaxy need a more identifiable LA in their shield. Re-image the "LA" only.
It is astounding how poorly every rebrand has gone in the MLS 3.0 era. Tbh, I really like the CF Montreal snowflake made of Ms and the arrows which to me reference the city's crisp branding and wayfinding (largely in place since the Olympics). https://t.co/JM6VQQ4quV— Tim Lawrence (@datadyne007) May 4, 2022 Again! I like their crest and their fonting. We'll see how this goes *nervous*. My Sounders will have a big rebrand in '24, IIRC.
