But not only is it a losing issue, it’s actively drawing heretofore non- or very infrequent voters to the ballot box in favor of expanding abortion rights. The Democrats have done a very good job reminding people who is behind the abortion restrictions: the GOP. So it only stands to reason that when these non- or occasional voters pull the curtain, not only will they vote in favor of abortion rights, they sure as shit will not be voting pro-GOP. So the GOP is doing everything it can to disqualify these voter initiatives. They’ve probably succeeded in Missouri and they’ve definitely succeeded in killing the initiative In Arkansas. Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri(?), Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, and South Dakota are the states. Arizona is definitely a swing state, so that could have an impact there; same for Nevada. The other states are all pretty much a lock one way or the other, though there have been whispers that Florida is in play, which I’m inclined to doubt.
