    how about Real's subs.........

    Morientes
    Guti
    Solari
    Conceicou
    McManaman

Are they better than some premier league team's attacking group of players?

    impressive.

AC Milan is still better though............

    Here
    Re: how about Real's subs.........

Well I heard that Zaragoza are once again interested in Morientes. They will talk later this month. Chances are by the end of this season, it'll be bye bye Morientes.

And Guti is on the edge of leaving Madrid no thanx to the Beckham transfer. He feels that he there won't be any playing time for him in the white shirt, so he wants to leave.

    The real subs

It's sad to see all the talent rotting away at the bench. Guti and Morientes i feel the worst for though. Guti is almost certainly gone, Real said they're willing to part ways with him.Morientes should have left when Ronnie arrived but decided to stick it out. This year i don't think he will, especially with Portillo starting to come about. Conceicao was still getting chances but with every huge addition to the squad these players will eventually be forced to leave. Now Solari i think has done pretty decent, at least he's played well with Argentina as of late. It's frustrating, but then again that's soccer. You either maximize your talent or you'll be taken over.

Con los fichajes q estan haciendo van a tener un once de ensueño pero nada mas! no van a tener banca! los 80 partidos al año los jugaran los mismos, sin rotacion!

I'd have to agree that Real can do better than Hierro and Salgado. Hierro is past his prime and I have never really been impressed by Salgado. Good, but Geremi would be better there now, I think.

One of these years I would love to see Real Madrid address their defense. I think Hierro is done and doubt he would want to finish up as a sub like Sanchis did at the end of his career. What a warrior Hierro was.

Salgado is the best opponent's player... how come a team as real madrid let salgado as a starting line up... instead of investing in the middle to the offense which real have great players including the bench, why they don't buy a player to salgado's place and other to hierro's (retiring)?!

even flavio conceição playing in salgado's is better than him... when he was in palmeiras he played in that position many times and did well...

I thought that you would know who Queiroz is. Queiroz is the guy who discovered Figo and Rui Costa. He also messed up the NY Metrostars. The USSF paid him at least a million bucks to write a paper. I think I would start a top on the US men forum.

I take it back. He did okay with Metrostars. It is just that my DC United used to beat them up.

    How about this?

    Bekham Figo
    Zidane
    Raul
    Ronaldo

    Try this one:

    ------------------ Casillas-------------

    Salgado------Milito--------Helguera---------Carlos

    --------------Figo----------Makalele-----------

    Beckham-----------Raul----------------Zidane

    ------------------Ronaldo------------------

I saw this somewhere and thought it was pretty extreme. Not sure if I placed it all correctly but i think it's right.

Is a young Milito that good to be starting right off the bat for the best team in Europe? I really don't think he'll see that much first eleven action, at least not right away. I could be wrong, especially with Hierro's departure, but it doesn't seem likely to me - too much of a baptism by fire. We are talking about the same Milito, right? The young kid on Argentina's "B" team (only because of age, not ability)?

    Likely (perhaps with Salgado though):

    .............Casillas...............
    .....Helguera...Pavon/Milito...
    Geremi..........................RC
    ..............Makelele.............
    Beckham.....................Figo
    ..............Zidane...............
    ...................Raul.............
    ........Ronaldo...................

Call me crazy, but why not...

    ..............Casillas.................
    ....Helguera...Pavon...Milito.....
    .................................Carlos
    Beckham.......Makelele..............
    ............Figo................Zidane..
    .....................Raul.................
    ...............Ronnie...................

Figo, Zidane, Raul, and Beckham would all have a lot of flexibility. This keeps three players in the back no matter what RC is doing. The weakness at right back is addressed by Beckham, who is a passable defender. Mendieta was very successful in basically the same role.

I like your first eleven Lawmill.

and roarksown, it doesnt make any sense to sign a non Eu to fill a void and not use him as a starter!

Mario, I think Geremi can surpass Makelele.
Roarksown, Pavon and Ruben are no older than Milito.

    Let's try a 3-3-1

    Iker
    Helguera-Milito-Pavón
    Geremi-Guti-RC
    Beckham/Figo-Raul-ZZ
    Ronnie

I know, I know. This is what was posted on fox sports world. I found it strange. I like lawmill's also only replace Geremi with Salgado because he looks destined for Chelsea, then again.....

Either way, are you going to sit Makelele? Queiroz already said he will use Figo and Becks ALWAYS as starters
