MADRID, March 31 (Reuters) - Real Madrid will soon open football
academies in Mexico and Beijing -- the first time they have gone out
    of Spain.
Florentino Perez promised to open a series of Real Madrid schools
around the world as part of his successful presidential campaign in
    2000.

The club announced their intention to open the first such academy in
Mexico last year and they now appear ready to continue their
    expansion into Asia.

"Florentino made the promise and now we're close to opening the
schools in China and Mexico," Real's sporting director Jorge Valdano
    told As newspaper on Monday.

"The kids will wear Real Madrid kit, will play in the style of Real
Madrid and will receive instruction from Real Madrid staff."

Maybe now Mexico will be able to produce another Hugo....Cuahtehmoc Blanco bombed at Valladolid and Palencia did not get enough playing time to prove his worth. De Nigris might prove his worth on the pitch as Torrado has this season at Sevilla.

I hadn't heard that until it was posted here but, we as Mexican futbol fans could only hope for another Hugo Sanchez, the Father of Mexicano ball'.About Blanco, yeah he did bomb at Valladolid but his best days are still ahead of him,no worries about that here.

Blanco spent too much time in the sidelines, he was mostly injured, he had, however, sparks like that hell of a free kick he scored vs RM!
