I don't want to spoil other results here but I'll make an exception, Mallorca beat Real Sociedad at home and are currently 6th on the table, but a lot of people assumed we should have steam rolled them, once we're done with them people don't kind of watch how they do long term. I feel the same way about Stuttgart, they lack the polish and routine you need to win away from the country, but they are a good team coached by somebody that was born and raised in football right out of the cradle. At some point you need to respect what opponents bring to the table. We're not in sparkling form, but the team is in good spirits. We've seen the team be poisoned from within and play with negative energy. I'm happy with the game.
We are like a good action movie The villain established credibility early on as a threat The hero lands a few blows as well the villain gets the hero on the ropes the hero overcomes and wins We have a flare for the drama lol
Look at the power of his shot from this video. I don’t think it was that easy to stop https://www.instagram.com/reel/DACQH3Goz1v/?igsh=dWpoeXVqbXVod3Jk
Surprised Endrick didn’t get booked for his celebration Duran got booked for the same thing even after the goal was disallowed
As always, it's not a Real Madrid game if there isn't some late drama. Mbappe and Rodrygo combination for the 1st goal was superb. Highlight reel stuff. 2nd goal by Rudiger was a pressure release. 3rd goal from Endrick was the cherry on top. Still a shaky defense, but they got the job done. Happy for the W against a very good opponents. Time to move on.
Team is just way too loose and all over the place, pure chaos. Makes for an entertaining watch though. Mid is a serious problem, feels like it's been bypassed all season on and off the ball. Vini and Mbappe are mixing together like oil and water right now. Main thing is we're picking up wins on the fly while trying to figure things out.
It was a nice shot. But it helped that the keeper was expecting a pass to Mabappe for a tap-in. Hence he made that half step to the right for a split second which if he just held his ground, could have deflected the shot.
So far this season, including the game vs Atalanta, we scored overall 14 goals. Only one was in the first half (Vs. Mallorca). 7 half’s in total. What is the explanation for that? Why we so struggle to finish the game early with 4-0/5-0… I think our best balanced lineup should be: Courtuis Carvajal - Militao - Rudiger - Mendy Tchuameni Valverde - Bellingham - Camavinga Mbappe - Vini Rodrygo, Brahim, Endrick and Guler will be massive subs from the bench
My bad man you're right. Sometimes it is fun to mock them. On a real note there are some it isn't even worth it.
Endrick also scored against Spain in the Santiago Bernabeu. While not his maiden goal for Brazil, the game marked his inaugural appearance at the stadium. Impressively, he also netted on his La Liga debut at the same stadium. And now, he has replicated this feat in the Champions League, indicating a unique connection he holds with this stadium. I think he has a positive energy or a favorable aura in the Bernabeu.
I think it's all due to Vini's personality. He's been struggling to score this season but he has no problem letting anyone else take penalties over him during games. Probably why he'll never reach the very top scoring wise. He has to become alittle bit more selfish.
Why do people invent drama. There is absolutely no issue between any of our players. Vini is happy passing the ball and letting others score. Mbappe is happy to try and play CF. Jude is happy with doing whatever is needed as long as he's not shackled positionally. Out of all of them, Rodrygo is struggling with his role the most as he needs to play a hybrid position. But his last game was good. So he may come around and really surprise us. He's playing a new position too as his role is more of a playmaker this season. He needs to as well since the return of Camavinga will trigger a true competition between a 442 and a 433 imo.
He probably knew it wasn't a penalty and wasn't going to be standing their arguing over nothing. Smart, very smart. This whole humble unselfish Vini is priming everybody up so that when he puts on the cape and goes hero mode nobody is going to say a thing about him taking things over.
Good win against a good team, not the best performance but there were some positives. Midfield is an issue, and Vazquez had a stinker. Ferland Mendy… he needs to sit. He was a big reason we struggled to progress the ball, just looks clumsy out there. Last year he had Kroos on his side and that gave him an ever present passing outlet which kind of masked some of his flaws and allowed him to be at his best but this year he’s a little more ’exposed’ and it’s creating all sorts of issues. Teams are literally pressing us forcing us to pass the ball to him, it’s the easiest way to retrieve the ball or kill an attack. It’s either a give away or an awkward pass, usually back to the keeper. Needs to wake up, until then more Fran please. I reckon Camavinga will take that spot when he’s back.
