It'd be awesome if Inter win and Real Madrid win. It'd be a giant eff you to Shaktar, who humiliated us twice yet would be in Europa league.
The shaktar manager just had our number. He out-strategizes Zidane and exploited our weaknesses to near perfection. Also his players get credit for executing. They saved their best games for Real Madrid and nobody else. People don't fear this team anymore. Varane is a husk of a player. I can't even recognize him anymore. There are players who need new pastures.
I was worried about playing in the Europa League next season. I do not want to continue writing what I want to say.

This team's defensive transitions are absolutely comical. It's mind-boggling how some people think we were the superior side even though Shakhtar created the better chances.
It’s a bit of the same old at this point. We control possession but can’t score against a club we should win against, they hit us on the counter and it’s gets a bit desperate. If we could only finish a few chances the dynamic is way different. So disappointed, good news is as bad as we have been we’re still in it barely. Hope we go on a run and get some of the posters and pundits/media who hate us super salty.
the picture is clearly photoshopped, the absence of a corner flag in that cluster was your first clue....
In order to not offend anyone and throw shade at their fierce loyalties to certain peoples, my reaction to bad results will be such for the rest of the season:
I would rather finish last because playing in the europa league with anything but Castilla players would be the ultimate embarrassment.
Depends on the tiebreakers. We have the head to head tiebreaker on Inter, but not Borussia M'gladbach if we tie. Tiebreakers Teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings (Regulations Articles 17.01): Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams; Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams; Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams; Away goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams; If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams are still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams; Goal difference in all group matches; Goals scored in all group matches; Away goals scored in all group matches; Wins in all group matches; Away wins in all group matches; Disciplinary points (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points); UEFA club coefficient. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_UEFA_Champions_League_group_stage Thanks in large part to Inter beating Borussia M'gladbach, our qualification fate is in our hands. By virtue of tiebreakers, we would go through because we would have the most points in head to head matches among tied teams with 8 IF we tie the last game (6 from Inter, 2 from Borussia).
Well yes I'm confident they'd gift less goals than this defense. Can't remember the last time we conceded a goal that wasn't a total gift or pk.
https://www.managingmadrid.com/2020...om-real-madrids-loss-away-at-shakhtar-donetsk 47% win rate. Amateur level stuff.
Yes. Gladbach and RM will progress in that scenario. We basically have to better whatever result Shakthar gets against Inter to progress. Can't afford a loss because Shakthar has the advantage on h2h and both teams have 7 points now. Gladbach has one more point than us right now.
No. If Inter beats Shaktar and we tie, there would be a three way tie at 8 points between Inter, Real and Borussia. Inter would qualify because they have the better head to head points on Borussia (4 points, 1 tie and 1 win), and Real Madrid would qualify because they got the most points between the the three of them (by discounting Shaktar based on the CL tiebreaker rules). Real would top the group based on head to head with Inter.
Gladbach right now has 8 points. So if we draw with them, they would have 9 and we'd have 8. There's no scenario of both teams having same number of points after the group stages as we play Gladbach next.
So we still need an Inter win if we tie. A Shaktar win or draw pretty much knocks us out if we don't win.
Damn, that puts Real Madrid and Inter Milan at a very precarious situation. Shaktar and Borussia simply have to hang on for a draw and they both qualify.
Looking at the upcoming fixtures is worrying. Sevilla, Borussia M'gladbach, and then Atletico Madrid. The players don't have time to sulk, we need them thinking about winning the next fixtures. But this is expectations versus reality. We expect them to win, but can they? Sergio Ramos pretty much is the backbone of this defense. Without him they're a bunch of children running around unsupervised.
Our destiny is in our own hand, if we can’t beat Borussia at home then we deserve to get knocked out.
And look who is the only one sprinting at the ball tracking back from that pack of idiots, Modric once again. He's 35 ********ing years old and is the only one with any heart in the midfield. We miss Fede man, I really like him.
