Oh I was bawling in his last game. Great game too vs Riquelme’s Villarreal. Ancelotti get out there please!
Yeah this one got me too. Last time I felt like this was also when Zidane left. We’ve had the pleasure and privilege to have so many all time greats playing for us.
Luka Modrić was astonishingly voted the worst signing of the year by a Spanish sports newspaper. Few imagined he would become the heartbeat of Madrid's midfield and one of the most decorated players in the club’s history. Similarly, Lucas Vázquez’s story is one of quiet perseverance. He shared the pitch with Jesé Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata in Real Madrid’s youth setup—two players who were once tipped to be the future of the club. While their careers took different paths, it was Lucas, the least heralded of the trio, who endured 10 seasons with the first team. Both Luka Modrić and Lucas Vázquez are living proof that perseverance beats doubt. They remind us: when others count you out, keep going. Success doesn’t always come quickly or loudly—it often belongs to those who refuse to quit.
ESPN won’t show any of the farewells. If someone has a stream please share it. The club doesn’t allow media inside the stadium before 15 mins to go to the start and after the game they are not allowed to use the images either. This has been annoying media since the club started doing it. Even pre games you notice the reporters are always outside the stadium while at other venues they have espn table set up inside the stadium.
Who cried when Modric was getting the guard of honor, came off and hugged Kroos and his family? I cried...
Florentino Pérez is also emotional. 😢 pic.twitter.com/pH8qaazzXF— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 24, 2025
Fitting end to an era especially the last photo of everyone including the coaches. One that will be shown in the museum for years to come.
