Win tonight and we go top of the league. I have no doubts that we will win La Liga. Zero doubts. Even throughout this apparent "crisis" we are 1 point away. We have big players coming back now and the team spirit is back.

I know some fans get big energy and self-importance from hating on the team but you will have to suck it up when we win. You will join us at the end like you always do and celebrate and pretend like you always believed and trusted the team.

I would like to see a right back at right back this game. Appreciate it's a lot to ask.

Apparently Mbappe will play despite the injury. What could go wrong?

We will still score the same amount of goals without Mbappe. It will be more shared. Hell even a stock city player like Joselu scored tons of goals with minimal minutes. A number 9 at Madrid will always score tons of goals.

Media for 3-4 days was saying Carvajal was set to start. Pretty pointless to follow most Spanish reporting

Curious how healthy Rudiger is. We need him for the Benfica tie.

Maybe Fede runs the right side a bit in this one, with Arda more central in front of the double pivot? If Gonzalo plays we need to feed him.

I feel bad for Carvajal. I don't care if he's leaving at the end of the year, in my book the man still has a ton to offer. Just needs a few games to pick up form

Hope Gonzalo dazzles tonight. Though I'd rather see him as a lone striker to be completely honest. He hasn't impressed so far in a 4-4-2.

Would like to see a Trent assist to Gonzalo. Will be interesting to see how Gonzalo plays without Mbappe. His best performances have come when Mabppe was not in the team.

Is this flat 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 Diamond?

Glad to see Mbappe not being risked tonight.

Let’s get this win and go top in the league.

Good that we are not risking Mbappe when he's not fully fit. Gonzalo didn't well as #9 vs Betis and Barca. He will score if we create enough chances.

Yes Yes Yes… i also think Rudiger with his strength is very important against Benfica. I think Arda will be switching position sometimes and be on the right side to pass or cross. He will be also near the box to shoot if Vini sees him.

My eyes are on Trent. I want his creativity

I'm glad the XI is not getting leaked to the media.

Marca did say that Jimenez was demoted and Carvajal would be the 2nd choice RB. They got that part right.
