    Expected lineup

    • The Asturians have not won in their last four and have tasted victory just twice on the road all season.
    • Head-to-head record: In 84 meetings between the two teams, Oviedo have just 14 wins to Madrid’s 54. At the Bernabéu, the visitors have recorded only three victories. The last meeting between the sides ended 3–0 to Los Blancos back in August.Oviedo’s busy backline:
    • Real Oviedo goalkeeper Aarón Escandell leads La Liga’s save charts with 4.1 per match. No team has conceded more away from home in Spain’s top division than Oviedo (37), however.
    • Mbappé has eyes on the prize: Mbappé leads La Liga’s top scorer’s race with 24 goals—two ahead of Vedat Muriqi. The Frenchman netted twice in the reverse fixture back at the start of the season.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2–0 Real Oviedo

Lunin being 6"3 and still struggling with aerial balls like Kepa. Sadly hasn't tried to improve in that facet.

I have more fear for Lunin on aerial balls then I do for my own Sunday league keeper

Carreras might be a worse defender than even Trent...

Its true, but thats still more than what Camavinga, Gonzalo and Alaba are offerinf. And actually we were playing our best football this season when he was starting.

Carreras was top 3 LB in the world during the whole 2025. Probably sacking the manager who brought him and getting slapped by Rudiger did not help him?

That Vini slip up--emblematic of the season. A lot of ambition, a lot of banana peels.

Watching the team now and you get the feeling that the set up is there for a great comeback story next season, especially with Vini captaining the team. It's an interesting story no matter how you feel about the team.

In 25 minutes Camavinga answered all the questions of people who did not watch him and were wondering how a midfielder from Real Madrid is not selected in a team where the other selected midfielders are 35 years old Fenerbahce player, 31 year old midfielder from Milan, midfielder from Roma and reserve midfielder/right-back in PSG.

There's lots of talk about vertical passing on here, one person even went as far as to say only TAA was capable of it on this team, Cama has made at least 3 proper vertical passes so far in this game looking to attack , rather than constantly passing the ball back to his defenders, so, yeah.....there's that
