This is something I tell my two teenage daughters. Boys your age are assholes and stupid. That’s all that you need to know about your anecdote
Extremely weird that people want an out of form and injured Camavinga to start but want Valverde rested to avoid injury lol.
Look at Arsenal playing beautiful football under Arteta for the last six years. In these six years, they have won three titles – one FA Cup and two FA Community Shield cups, and they are going to finish second for the third season in a row. i will not even start talking about how their performance in Europe. And nobody even thinks about firing Arteta. On the contrary, he got a three-year extension at the start of the season until 2027. fun fact: since he arrived to Arsenal he spent €791,800,000 while RM only spent €666,800,000. maybe we should also talk about Pep? that being said, I still want Xavi to replace Carlo as coach, and for Carlo to take another job at the club. But of course, all of this should happen at the end of the season.
I see more parallels with Carlo's Madrid to the Tim Duncan Spurs. They won trophies, but didn't really attract new fans to the team en mass despite winning because they were bland to most casuals.
My Golden State warriors comparison was not good too. To put it, we are the best team.... and we ain't just the best. That will bring jealousy. so, I expected a lot of hate, but I don't care.
Camavinga could have played himself into the spot that Ceballos got. A lot of those minutes Tchouameni played was as a CB. Unless you figure Camavinga should've slot in next to Rudiger
Wherever Cama has played he has never really had the support other players have had, with Tchouameni a glaring example of someone who has enjoyed Carlos unwavering support. The talent of Cama is there but I think he's reached an all time low in confidence and Carlos poor handling of him has played a huge part.
So instead of talking with arguments and facts we're going by how we feel. How would you know how much support he has or not? Are you there with them? What we know is Camavinga has never really put together a long term of consistent performances to lock down a spot that should be his. I WANT this for him, but it's on him, totally. Ceballos is the definition of solid/unspectacular but he's realiable in that.
He's never had a chance to put in a consistent run of games because he isn't allowed to. Always the first one to be hooked, always the one singled out for criticm by the coach. I bet you if Cama and Tchouamenis roles were reversed Cama would never had taken seasons to come up with some consistent form. It'd taken him a few games. Unfortunately he isn't allowed to build on performances because he isn't allowed to get consistent 90 minutes to fall and pick himself up until he figures it out.
By the way, when people wonder why folks don't like this club, you don't need to look much father than this thread to understand why. People complaining about not steamrolling over one of the better defenses in the League, pounding on a coach that's managing a badly put together squad with injuries excellently. Comedy.
Imagine the casuals that purportedly can't enjoy our team tried being fans of Rayo or Bilbao or Sociedad. The level of entitlement is crazy.
Players earn the right to play consistently, like Cebellos has and he’s shown it. Carlo has always defended Camavinga, even now, the talk is that he’s been injured and playing injured and never allowed him to be consistent this season. For me, Camavinga has actually played his best football as a LB and that’s very telling and probably concerning considering we bought him for the future of the midfield. Maybe deschamps came up genius in that regard s.
Cama hasn't really had a chance to earn a starting spot. Partly because of injuries and partly because he isn't given consistent 90 minutes to build up consistency
Because he’s been injured on and off all season, he’s not had the continuity Carlo was talking about and frankly, I’d have Cebellos ahead of him anyway on current form so he needs to take his chances, which he has not been doing.
Those Spurs are possibly the tactically most apt team, with the most perfect chemistry/sinergy and defined roles in the history of the game. They were led by a tactical genius of a coach. We're more like the opposite, just great players and not a great team.
I agree but he’s somewhat played himself into form and has been really good over the last month or so. I can see why he’s kept his place.
This is too extreme. Camavinga now has to remain fit, find his confidence back which is clearly lacking right now, and he’ll show again he’s a phenomenal talent. It’s been a tough season for him, with the long injuries as well as being in a midfield that wasn’t cohesive at all for the majority of the season. But he’ll bounce back no doubt.
Tchou has played many, if not most of his matches at CB. Credit to him for being able to play there but mostly lucky because of injuries at that position.
