Fran has to play more this season, I really like how he offered an option to his winger whenever we had the ball.
Vini MOTM with another stellar performance.
    Great game by Bellingham.
Asencio settleed into the game well for a canterano and gave the Osasuna strikers no chance.

Also great game for Balon’dor Vini.

Good to see the crowd try to will Mbappe forward.

Nice runout for Endrick and Arda.

Movement was better at times and he occasionally occupied the right spaces. That's all positive.

lol.. It's a good game for someone playing at around 60% and trying to find his way back to form.
    Be patient.

Useless players don't create this much danger while being at a fraction of their potential.

no signing will be done on the winter break. Perez will force Carlo to promote all the youngsters - not a bad strategy.

a much needed win for the players..

But for me Asencio stole the show..I hope he doesn't get punished

Mbappe, I hope we kept the receipts, what's PSG's return policy? Jokes aside, this entire saga has been so anticlimactic.

That retro jacket the players had on coming into the pitch was awesome!

Militiao out with a serious injury and Vasquez has a left adductor muscle problem..the club royally f*cked up in the summer and failed to even acknowledge the glaring issue at the back.

It remains to be seen if Flo/JAS will make a move in the winter

Carlo gotta count on Asencio and Fortea until market opens. No other choice.

Tchouemeni can stay far away from that defence as possible. I'd rather stick with Asencio.

yes...it's the reality. He didn't arrive at Madrid at 100%.... why is it hard to comprehend?

Did you think he arrived like he was in December 2022 at the WC final?

Dude arrived clearly below his top level and had been like that for months before..... you didn't watch the EUROs?

Now we're trying to get him back to his top level....because at 100%, he's unplayable. Best in the World.

Again.....why is this so hard to understand?

Vini is the BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD.
Raul Asensio with a wonderful performance. he looked like he already played a few season in La Liga and not making his first debut game, his assist was just incredible.
Now Carlo must let him play even when Tchu will be back from injury.
I'm so happy that Jude have scored. i hope this goal will open is Mojo and he will get back to scoring form.

Kylian look like he still need more time adjusting to RM and La Liga, but today he could have finished with 1 or 2 assists.

I hope that Carlo will let Jesús Fortea play against Legeans after the break.

Anyone that was actually pay attention to Mbappe before he joined would see he was playing like this way before he even signed for us and on a decline. He had nose injury in euros not a acl tear... these excuses about fitness dont really wash.

you and I are not having the same conversation I realise lol...

I'm saying he came here NOT playing well....and we're trying to get him back to his best.

You're saying he was crap before he came and there we should NOT have signed him.

It's fair that you think that...can't argue that he was great before he came.

I'm just saying it's worth the risk....because IF you get him to a 100%, we'll have an incredible player.

But let's leave it there....we're not talking about the same thing.

He doesn't make the right runs or the correct decisions on and off the ball, his shooting is abysmal, his touches are often heavy...
You could have put any half-decent striker from the top 5 leagues in our line-up and the result would have been the same.

A very strange, bittersweet game to watch.

    The positives:
    1. Vini Jr gets his hattrick. This is his team and always will be as long as he's here. He carries the team like nobody else and is the most decisive. The first goal was absolute masterclass. Everyone at ESPN and myself was creaming on how well he took that shot (no backlift, lot of power in a nanosecond). 2nd goal, he rounded the keeper and 3rd goal he kept composure. Wish we saw more of this against the big teams.
    2. Jude Bellingham ends his goal drought. That chipped goal was classy. Very well taken and you could see his sigh of relief. I am very happy about that.
    3. Raul Ascensio had a dream debut. He looked fairly good at ball distribution and that cross for the Belligol really got a lot of love. I enjoyed it because it has been a while since Madrid had a ball playing defender. Obviously this is very early days for him. Let's see if Carlo trusts him with more minutes. So far what I've seen, I like.
    4. A much needed clean sheet for the team. Despite all the injuries, the team hung onto a clean sheet. That probably gives Lunin and Ancelotti some much needed relief.
    5. Camavimga is just so important. It felt like he plays wonderfully in the holding role, and Carlo should start him there over Tchouameni.
    The negatives:
    1. Injuries, injuries, INJURIES! This team is absolutely getting devastated by injuries. Rodrygo and Militao injuries looked bad. Especially Militao who seems like he will be out for the season. I don't think Real Madrid can count on militao much longer as he seems extremely injury prone. It is time to look for another quality CB option at least by summer. Vazquez was injured too, but hung on like the warrior he is until the half time so Carlo could save a substitution.
    2. The injury list now has Carvajal, Alaba, Courtois, Tchuoameni, Militao, Rodrygo, Vazquez. Many others seem to also have niggling injuries. This is a really bad situation. I dont know how much the international break alleviates this.
    3. Mbappe seems to still be struggling. He can't find the back of the net, and each act seems more desperate than the last. He is really low on confidence and even though the team is trying to get him involved, he just cant get anything going. Ancelotti even played him on his preferred LW position in the 2nd half with Vini as ST. All that did was Vini got more goals.
    4. Fran Garcia is worse than Mendy. There's just no denying it. He tries, but he has no chemistry with players up front and whenever he does marauder up front, it usually results in errant passes and shots on goal. Defensively he is also shaky.
    5. Valverde now has to be RB. There just is no depth in that position and Valverde is the only one left who can play that position decently enough.

Tough luck for militao. Feel bad for him.
My bigger concern is rodrygo, because all we have upfront is Vinnie who can score.
After that, the only player to trust to score is rodrygo, so we're in a tight stop.
    This should diaz time now.
