I'll gladly take the penalty today, but the spirit of the handball rule is penalizing unnatural hand and arm movements, yet literally no one slides with both arms down their sides. I would not be surprised or upset if they revisit that part of the rule in the future, particularly off a ricochet.

 

I remember that penalty against Camavinga thinking what the hell is a handball penalty was after that.

I seem to remember a time when "ball to hand", as they called it, wasn't considered a handball. Not sure when that changed. It essentially covered instances where the ball hit some other (legal) body part first and ricocheted onto the arm/hand from there.

Mbappe and Tchouameni were the strongest players for me today. Huijsen sometimes overdoes it and needs to find his balance in his offensive play. Carreras is running up and down the pitch like a madman on the left. Vini looks lifeless and dull in his overall demeanour.
